I will soon be flying to WDW with my children. However, one of the kids will not be staying in the same room with me -- he will be staying with his grandparents in another resort. They will have checked-in three days before us. I am already at my room capacity with dh and other 2 children. How do I get this straight with DME so that no one thinks we're trying to "sneak" another child into our room or that older ds doesn't get denied DME. I tried to explain the situation on the phone but confused the CM completely.

Note: Ds IS on his grandparents ressie.

However, I learned long ago that any requests out of the ordinary lead to confusion at WDW.:confused3

Ooh, that's a tough one because Magical Express ONLY delivers and picks up from YOUR resort. If DSs grandparents are staying at a different resort, then the "system" would require him to get on the bus for HIS resort, and if it's not on the same route as you are, then he would be riding alone.

Here is what I would do.

Have grandparents reserve Magical Express for him under their reservation, with his appropriate flight #s, then he will have his own ticket and tags. Here is the website:

https://secure.disney.go.com/wdw/reservations/dme/index?CMP=BAC-DMEVanity

Then when you arrive explain the situation to them in person. Worst case scenario, you will have to purchase a Mears ticket for him to ride on the same bus with you.

The same will be a problem with the return unless the grandparents are leaving the same time you are.

If you were all staying at the same resort, this would be easier.
