DME question - what time should we be back at our resort?

We are traveling to WDW in November and on our departure day, have a 6:50 flight. We plan to spend the morning and early afternoon at Magic Kingdom and will likely take a cab back to our resort. Is getting back at 3 going to be the right timing? We are setting up our FastPass + and I am not planning anything after 1:30, just to be safe.

I have found the mid-day buses to be much quicker than the buses to get to opening and coming home at the close of day. If we opt to take the bus back to our resort, how long is the trip from MK to POR?

TIA!

3 will PROBABLY be ok. You will be assigned a pickup time between 3:35p and 4:05p. You are supposed to be at the ME bus stop ready to load (bags collected, shopping done, bathroom done, etc) 15 minutes before that time.

So the earliest you'd be expected to be ready to load is 3:20. Depending on baggage collection (if you left any with baggage services) and other stuff you need to do, 3 would be the LATEST with a 3:35 pickup. However, if you have a pickup anytime after 3:45, I think 3pm would be perfect.

For a 6:50pm flight, I would be back the resort no later than 3pm. You will be given a pickup time of about 4pm..give or take 15 mins either way. You will want to be at the bus stop, waiting for DME, at least 15 mins prior to the stated p/u time. If you get back to POR by 3, you'll have time to use the bathrooms, have one last run through the gift shop, and get your carryon bags out of storage.
To be absolutely sure? Be back by 2:30. Then you can also grab a quick bite to eat if you want and have the time.
Figure on it taking 45 mins from MK bus stop arrival to POR bus stop drop off. So, you need to leave MK proper by 1:45ish, no later than 2:15.

In order to get a cab from MK back to POR, you still have to travel to either the TTC or the Contemporary. There are no cabs available at the MK entrance, so it may be a wash time-wise between taking the bus or a cab.
