We will be using AAdvantage miles for our next trip to WDW. We will be checking into the Poly the Sunday after Thanksgiving and free seats are hard to come by for that day so I think we are going to go Saturday mid afternoon and stay at the MCO Hyatt.

My question is do we just tell the DME folks we will be arriving Sunday morning and not provide a flight number? I know we'll have to handle our own bags. Do we just walk from the Hyatt to the DME counter?

I know you have to have a DME reservation - will they take a reservation without an incoming flight number?

We thought about staying at a value resort on property that Saturday night but would rather just stay in the airport and get to bed early.

TIA :goodvibes

We were planning to do something like that last August but we were told by our TA at Small World Vacations that DME had to be tied to a flight number on the same day.

You're fine, you don't need a flight number! Just show up at the DME counter, and you'll be all set.

This week, I made DME reservations for a WDW vacation during which our final night will be at an airport hotel, because our flight won't be until the next morning.

I told them exactly what I was doing, and I asked if I needed to give them bogus flight information. No, that wasn't necessary. I just had to tell them when I wanted to be picked up.

Along the same lines, you should be able to make DME reservations for transportation from MCO to WDW, even if you're flying into MCO the prior day. The only bad news is that you'll have to drag your luggage to the DME coach rather than using the yellow tags and having the luggage "magically" appear in your room.
