I was looking for a question on this topic, but I can't seem to find it. We are staying at the Orlando Hyatt at the MCO airport. We fly in on a Friday, but our reservation doesn't begin until Saturday. Can we use DME to get to the resort on Saturday and avoid a cab fare? Would we need baggage tags? I would assume we would just walk back down to the airport to catch the DME bus. We've never stayed at this hotel before and we're looking forward to it. Thanks for the help. :yay:

Yes you can take Magical Express the next day when your reservation starts.

When reserving DME, have in mind a flight, any flight, any airline arriving in the morning about the time you will be ready to go to Disney. The reservationist may or may not ask for it.

Similarly, if you wish to, you can check out the day before you leave town, take DME back to the airport, and stay there, say before an early morning flight. One nice thing about this is that it won't be hectic and you won't be anxious if the bus is running late or too full.

We have done this a couple of times when taking a late flight into Orlando. I checked the Delta schedule for the next morning and found a flight arriving about the time I wanted to leave for WDW (9am). When I made the ME reservation, I have the agent that flight number.

Remember NOT to use the yellow ME tags on your luggage. You will need to claim your luggage and then take it with you to the ME bus the next morning. The last time we stayed at the Hyatt we were able to arrange for the Hyatt bellhops to pick up our luggage at the airport and bring it to our room. Since we were traveling with small children (i.e. strollers) that was very convenience and well worth the minimal cost.

No, you won't. Once your luggage is in your room, attach your DME tags. Let Bell Services know that and what time you'd like your luggage picked up and brought directly to the Magical Express delivery center. Voila!!! It's another service Hyatt offers its WDW-bound guests!

I did not know hyatt offered that service.
We like our luggage with us rather than waiting for Disney to deliver them to the room, thus we do not use the tags provided.
I have caught the DME bus at 7am' ish after staying Hyatt, love starting fresh and rested for the new adventure. Hyatt is great for that.
Did you guys know that Hyatt also rents rooms for "day" such as when you leave a cruise and your flight is not until that night? It was great for us, got to rest, use the pool and relax. ;) Nice restaurant, but typical $ though.
