Help me decide please!
My hubby and I are leaving on 11/25-12/4 for our disneyworld anniversary celebration. We're having another couple equally disneyfied join us on 11/17-12/2. This will be thier first time flying cross country much less going to Disneyworld!

Since we'll be there earlier, we planned on having them take the Magical Express, but I recently read that the greeters are gone from the 3rd floor (or will be as of 10/1) and they may just have to find the busses on thier own. Yikes! I'm worried enough that they may not make thier connecting flight, much less have to FIND a bus in a HUGE airport like Orlando's.

My Hubby and I are renting a car, but didn't want to have to take that much time out of our Disneyworld day driving around to pick them up at the airport (not to mention to tolls both ways, etc).

So - what would you guys suggest? I love the fact that their bags will be delivered to thier room (which wastes a lot less time at baggage claim) so we could go right to the parks after they arrive at the hotel (our orignal plan was to meet them in the lobby or out front by the bus stop).

I do know that they'd feel a lot more comfortable with us there to pick them up as well, so I'm torn! There are pros and cons both ways. One of the pros to picking them up would be we may be able to get them on the road quicker than the bus. Another would be getting to see the look on thier faces as we drive into Disneyworld for the first time! But if the bus picks them up, we have the luggage pro, and the pro of DH and I not having to really interupt our Disneyworld trip to make a 45 minute trip to the air port, then wait for them to come in, get thier bags, and another 45 minute trip back to the hotel...

Any experience or advice?
Thanks!

The greeters are not gone yet but I am sure when they make them move there will be signs or something. As someone else mentioned you could stop in the Disney store for directions. It is very easy to find.

I would just let them take DME and meet them at the resort.

Thanks! The article I read basically said to expect them to be gone as of 10/1. I was hoping someone would meet them at the gate as that airport is HUGE and they could get turned around. I know due to security, we can't do that anymore. Great idea about asking at the Disney Store.

Any other opinions? I'm a collector of them. :)

Since they are already signed up for DME...I'm sure if there was a change, Disney would tell them/you.

I have just returned from WDW using DME!! What a pleasure!! :sunny:

They'll be fine!! The worst that can happen is they ask where to get the DME bus.
I did see that a CM (No MM glove) was at the ticket level just hanging around.

Here's an article:

Too many gates for that (114? 150? Somewhere around there at MCO), plus there are signs all over the terminals pointing arriving passengers to the trams to the central terminal, PLUS there are signs once you get there pointing to baggage claim, ground transportation, etc PLUS they can ask pretty much anybody who works there - Gate Agents, store staff, Skycaps, maintenance people... really, anybody who doesn't look like they're trolling for passengers :teeth:

LOL Thanks for putting my mind at ease. :) I've gotten lost at an airport once in my life and am pretty well traveled, so it's completely new to me to think of someone 21 and over who's never flown across country before. I try to think of every possible circumstance so that they are prepared.

About how long does it take for them to arrive? For example, if they land at 5:30pm is it safe to say we could leave for the parks from the resort (Pop Century) by 7:30pm?
