We are staying in Value resort from Dec 12-17. We are staying offsite Dec 11.

Silly question but can't hurt to ask...

My mom wants to add onto our vacation and is hoping to fly down on December 11. No Value resorts are available this date so she was hoping she could stay offsite with us until our Disney resort stay begins on Dec 12.

Is there anyway she can do DME on Dec 11, get dropped at resort we are staying at beginning Dec 12 and then take Disney transportation to meet us in parks?

We will have our car but will be in parks all day. Not to be selfish, but it could be a pain to lug an infant and 3 year old to airport to pick her up if she can find another ride. We can drive her back to offsite hotewl after park day and back to Disney resort the next day.

So could she do DME a day early or does she have to take a cab? How expensive would a cab be? Thanks!

She cannot do DME a day early.

Unless she or you have reserved a room in a Disney's resort where she would stay for that night.

She could take Mears' shuttle, cost about $19. one way. Just walk up to the Mears counter. Some off site resorts are included, she could inquire in advance and/or you can pick her up at that resort.

Just a heads up, it is possible she will be put on a DME bus after buying her Mears ticket if her destination is a Disney's resort.

A taxi would be around $60. including the tip.

You mom can rent a car, get herself situated at your offsite place, then return it on property. Alamo and National (same) are at the Dolphin - then she can meet up with you from there. I've done that many times one way - and it was very convenient and usually less than a cab (if that is a concern). Also, since she has the car, if she wants to stop and pick anything up she can.

Otherwise, she will need a cab, or a towncar, and it's $50 - $60.
