DME luggage question

Warning...Dumb question ahead...Will DME deliver our luggage to our room if we haven't checked-in yet. We're arriving early evening at POP and want to catch Holiday Wishes so we'll likely have to drop our carry-ons at bell services and head straight to MK and check-in when we return from MK. I thought maybe our room was assigned before we check-in and maybe luggage could be delivered before we actually check-in.
 
Good news - DME will deliver luggage to your room even if you are not there!:banana:

Thats part of the Magic - you check in at the front desk, and go directly to a park without even knowing your room number. When you get back to the resort and walk into your room, your luggage is often already there! On my last visit home, my luggage wasn't there yet, but just as I was thinking that I'd like to go to the pool now, it arrived!
 
I don't think so . If your not checked in your Room is assigned but not really in your name yet.

Now you could send 1 person in to check-in .

Or just have Bell services hold your bags and have then brought up that night after you check-in.I would let them know when dropping off your Carry-ons of your plans.

I just noticed you said POP they only have Luggage assistance so they close (most likely before MK closes) so you would have to go to the front desk and have them get your bags for you and mopst likely take them to your room.
 
If you are going to MK before you check in how are you going to get your KTTW tickets (park tickets on your room key)??? Or do you have pre-purchased tickets?? If you do not have pre-purchased tickets you will have to at least check in at your resort (to get your park tickets)...even if you do not get an assigned room # when you check in they will still take your luggage to your room once it has been assigned...even if you are not there. Our last trip we checked in, went to grab a bite to eat at the food court, went to MK for a while and came back to find our luggage in our room (even though we had not yet been in the room)...it is great...I hope this helps and answers your question. Thanks...This is what I wanted to know. I presumed this was the case but you never know with the Disney magic...

I'mNoPrince is correct in clarifying my post. When I said front desk, I was thinking of the resort's front desk. I can see how this might be interpreted as the Magic Express check in desk. Sorry about the misdirection and thanks for the clarification help.
 
Just an FYI, and I'm not sure what the official policy is, but when I was at SSR in August bell services would not deliver our bags unless we were in our room to receive them in person.

I was surprised because I know that in the past our bags have been waiting for us in the room when we returned to the resort.
