DME Luggage Delivery Question

I have a late flight coming into MCO at about 10:45pm. My best guestimation has me arriving at POR at about mid-night using DME. I will have a checked bag with most of my clothes in it and a carryon bag with pj's and clothes for the next day at the parks.

Since I am arriving so late and have an early morning ahead of me, is it reasonable to ask them to hold on the delivery of my checked bag until morning? I don't even know if they have the staff to deliver the bag until morning, but I certainly don't want my bag delivered at 2 or 3 am!

Yes they will hold it for you.

You have the right idea. Definitely ask them to hold it 'til morning.

And when I say "them" I'm referring to the front desk and Bell Services at your resort when you check-in there. Don't bother saying anything about this at the DME counter at the airport, because they have nothing to do with baggage once it arrives at your resort (the resort CMs are responsible for it from there).

other option is you can retreive your luggage yourself and bring it on the bus with you.

Hmmmm.....let me see, on Friday I have to get up at 6:30am to walk the dogs, shower & dress for work, go to work until noon, come home take yet another shower (because "work funk" doesn't belong on you when you are on vacation), do the last minute packing thing, spend a little time with my honey before heading off to the airport for a 9:20pm flight that won't put me to MCO until 10:45pm (if it's on time), and then go to baggage claim and grab another bag besides my two carry on items and lug it through the airport, just so that I don't have to ask the fine folks at POR to hold the bag until the morning.......um, nope, but thanks for presenting the option!

Added insurance: In addition to requesting a luggage hold at the Front Desk and in person or on the phone with Bell Services - place the "Privacy Please" card in your door's key slot.
