I doubt there will be enough time for disney to send our DME pamphlet - so if we are planning a last minute trip, how will be go about getting on the DME bus when we arrive. Our trip is planned for Jan 19th

So you havent made these reservations yet? Shouldnt be an issue, all you will do is make sure you make a DME reservation. If you want to use luggage delivery, just give them your tag numbers at the DME desk, and why you are there, they will check you in for DME transport, give you your 'ticket' for the bus and direct you to the bus. Just make sure you make reservations with DME, I THINK you can make them as close as 48 hours before, but do it as soon as you know you are going..

i am going Jan 8th and I'm calling today to reserve DME... (just found decent airfare) last time our pamphlet came in a week or so after i made the reservations. you should be fine... they only want about a month's notice.

January 19th is by no means 'last minute' in the RealWorld, nor is it to DME.

When I first read the subject title I though the OP is going to WDW this weekend.

DME reservation has to be made prior to arriving at MCO. AFAIK you could call from the airport before you board your plane.

DME wants about a month so they have time to print and mail the bar coded luggage tags. DME seems to be able to get them out with 10-14 days notice. Guests have the option of having Disney get their bags even if they don't use the yellow tags. The CM at the DME desk will re-print your vouchers if there wasn't time to mail it, if you forget it or even if you put in in your checked luggage.

OP has more then enough time for DME and doesn't have to do anything special.

I guess the only thing I was considering would be maybe that's when they were PLANNING to go but didnt have tickets or hadnt made final arrangements yet, or wasnt going to be able until closer. I initially read it as the rest of you did, but thought maybe they werent going to make the final call until closer to their trip.

If the PP's are right, then do nothing special, plenty of time.

Good point, you can make DME reservations the same time you make your resort reservations. The flight information can be listed as "pending" or you can just give them flight information for a flight you hope to book.
