I have a reservation for SSR and am waitlisted for BCV. According to Disney it should only be a few weeks at best from what they have seen to get in at BCV. My question is how far from the date of travel can you make changes with DME, I assume they want to know where your going (which resort)? I haven't done anything yet with DME in terms of setting it up as we are waiting for flights to get a little cheaper which from past experience will happen. Then we will call MS to set up the DME. But if it takes a little longer than anticipated I am not sure what to do. I have never used DME before and always rented a car. I just don't want to get it set up to go to SSR and then have the waitlist come through for BCV and have a problem with transportation because we told them we were going to SSR. I'd rather just rent a car myself lol, but DW wants us to use the perks we pay for and I agree. Last trip we rented a car and used it 2 or 3 days out of 9 and just took the busses the other times which worked out fantastic actually. We could save a lot of money by doing DME and use that savings for another dinnner show for everyone perhaps. Any thoughts from you DIS vets are appreciated. Thanks.:thumbsup2

Since it's done thru MS anyway, I'd go ahead and request DMW right now. If your waitlist comes thru you can have MS make the change for you - even if it's last minute. You can even have DME change the resort when you check in at the airport for the DME bus. The biggest challenge may be the DME luggage tags which have the resort printed on them.

Good luck! :)

We are down here now and booked DME a week prior to leaving - and we even got the luggage tags in time! I was surprised- they came via UPS next day air.
