DME - charge or not on 1st April?

I've searched this forum but can't find an actual answer. We will be staying at the Contemporary resort from 1st-8th April and am trying to work out whether to organise car hire from the airport or get the DME and get car hire within Disneyworld.

Basically will there be a charge or will it still be free?

One last question. I travel from Glasgow to Orlando via Newark. Presumably I will clear US customs at Newark so I will then be on a domestic flight from Newark to MCO? Therefore my luggage will be collected as long as it has the yellow tags on it?

At least not until HCOE is over I think that Nov.

It has not been announced. Universal is supposed to be starting a bus service so Disney may decide to keep it free.
