I booked a last minute trip through Disney's website and there will not be enough time for the luggage tags to arrive.

I know I will need to pick up my luggage at the carousel and cart it to the DME desk - my question is will they already have my reservation there or do I need to call them to confirm?

ps.....we leave tomorrow morning  so a speedy reply from a knowledgeable person is needed. THANKS :thumbsup2

If your flight is in the morning you don't have to pick up your own luggage. When you get to the DMe counter you can give them your claim tickets and give them a description of your bags. They will get them for you and transport to the resort. However, it's not something I would do. I know a lot of people on here have done it and would say it's OK....I'm just always worried about not getting my luggage.

The DME counter will have your ressie as long as you added it when you booked the resort. Make sure you have a copy of your confirmation just to be sure. I've done a last minute trip and had no problem getting on DME. Sometimes there is a long wait at the counter though....that's the advantage to having the booklet that they send out....you don't go to the counter, you just get on the bus.

I just noticed you're Canadian...if you are flying on a CAN carrier from Canada you will have to get your luggage.

You are fine. They will have the reservation you just have to stop at the desk and they will print a voucher out for you. IF you are flying from a point in the USA you do not need to pick up the luggage, they picked mine up without tags last month just give them a good description and the claim tickets and they will get your bags.
