DME a day early

Dh and I are planning a quick trip for our anniversary Thanksgiving weekend. I was able to get a DVC room using our points for the last 3 nights but not the first. I am thinking of staying at a DTD hotel for that first night. Can we take DME to say SSR, where will be the next day, and get a cab from there to our hotel or can we not use DME a day before our ressie starts?

You will not be able to use Magical Express until your check in day. You might want to try to find a hotel that offers a shuttle to the airport and the parks for your first day.

AFAIK Disney is the only hotel that offers free airport transfers and free transportation to parks.

If you have a late flight use PL to get a hotel near MCO. In the morning take the hotel shuttle back to MCO then use DME.

Otherwise consider booking a Disney value resort for your first night.

Have to second what Lewisc said....can't get DME until your reservation has started. So, I would try to get a room at a value resort onsite at WDW for that first night.

Iguess we'll do a value. Unfortunately it is $141for a value and I could stay koffsite for about $80 but I am sure that difference won't be as much when I figure in a cab from MCO. We fly in at noon and only have 4 nights so I can't give up a night to stay by the airport. I guess I'll book ASMu. Hopefully my DVC waitlist will come through and it will be a nonissue.
