Has anyone done this???

Are there any nice campsites, quite close to DLRP or close to a train station?

Thanks,

Hiya :wave2:

We are going camping next weekend, taking our own tent and stuff. This is the campsite looks lovely http://www.caravaning-4vents.fr/ . This will be our cheapest ever trip to Disney (and in the school summer holidays too), we are going for 12 nights, return ferry costing £48, campsite 25 euros a night, buying 2 adult AP when get to disney (179 euros each), both of my girls are under 7 so will get their passes free and my son is just 2 so he is free aswell.
Can't wait, will soon be in the single digit dance:banana:

That's exactly what I was planning! Thanks for the website, I'll check it out

We are also going to that campsite. We arrive on 26th and leave on the 2nd August.

It is supposed to take 15 mins to drive to DLRP, so is quite close by. ( Lets hope so :rolleyes1 )

Is this the one next to a train station? I'm sure I found one that was next to a Train Station that had trains running to Disney but can't find it again :confused3

Hi,

We've stayed here before and also tried some others - we are returning back here for 5 nights in August. From those we have stayed out, this is by far the best.

As to 15 mins - I'd say more like 25 mins door to door.

Hi. Not to be off topic, but bonjovikitten I saw your post about your upcoming trip and your plan to buy APs. I'm not sure if you've seen the thread about AP Sponsorship but you can get 10% off if you have a sponsor and buy your AP at the park. That makes the Dream Pass 161 instead of 179.

If you're interested, I could email you the form. It will save you some money and I get benefits too. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to DLRP, so if I don't hear from you before then, I'll assume you're not interested.

I didn't know about the sponsorship option when I purchased mine and wish I had, so I thought I'd pass along the info.

On the camping note, has anyone tried Formula 1 as a place to stay. It is not quite camping, but the rates are cheap (33€ per night- sleeps3) and since the bathroom is down the hall, that is kind of like camping... TripAdvisor.com doesn't have any reviews of this specific property, and the chain gets mixed reviews overall. I'm wondering if this is a good budget place to stay or a dive.

Formula 1
ZA de la Pierre Tourneville
Route de Vignely

We often stay in Premiere Classe Hotels in France and Belgium on route to Germany and they are very similar (often built right next to each other) They are very basic and offer no other facilites unlike a campsite. We were thinking of going down the Premiere Classe route but the camping could work out to be sooooo cheap that I can't turn it down (around £15.00 per night for a Log Cabin at where I'm looking at!)

:thumbsup2

Hi thanks:thumbsup2 , although I am not sure if I can combine the two offers as I will be getting the free childrens APs. Am I right in thinking that?

What's the pool like in 4 vents? a real pool or a paddling pool?
the website has precious little text.

Hi ,
We camped at the 4 Vents at the end of May. It's nice and quiet, very clean facilities and with helpful staff.

The pool is a round plunge type - same depth throughout and not heated. My son found it too cold! Also you have to go thru the showers to get to it so need to throw your towel over the hedge first or take it in a waterproof bag!

It's about a 20 minute drive to Disney from the campsite, nice straightforward journey but the departmental route is busy and cars travel very fast on it so be careful turning out on to it!!

Enjoy your trip,
A
