DLR- Dapper Day (Sunday) or Monday After?? Park Hoppers?

We are planning our first Disneyland visit from April 14-April 17. That is Dapper Day weekend. We have Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday as possible park days and are deciding between 2 day PH tickets or 3 day base tickets.

We have been tossing around different ideas, but we could use some help.

We are staying at GCH so we have Early Entry for our park days.

1. Will Dapper Day (Sunday) be busier than Monday? I have always heard that Mondays are crazy busy, and I know it is also Spring Break.

2. We are planning on using early entry (and we will be there super early). How much does that park get packed and Park Hoppers become necessary?

3. Would you go for 2-day tickets with Park Hopper or 3 day base tickets? If 2 day tickets, would you do Sunday/Tuesday or Monday/Tuesday?

Any thoughts and ideas are super appreciated.

If it's between 2 days with park hopper or 3 days with no park hopper, then I'd go with 3 days - no question. I'm a big fan of park hopper and it gives you added flexibility, but additional time in the park is more valuable than less time with added flexibility, if that makes sense.

Sunday and Monday will be DCA early entry, and Tuesday will be your only DL early entry. Not sure what you're looking to do, but the general recommendation would be to spend 2 days in DL and one in DCA.

Mondays are busy, Spring Break makes things busy (however, I spent the whole day in the park yesterday Saturday and found wait times to be very reasonable), and I can't answer about Dapper Day since the last time I was in the park for it was years ago.

Another vote for 3 days -- and using the savings to get MP. I would go with Sunday over Monday -- at least with Sunday, the crowds will look nicer! And DD crowds are different than regular crowds -- people in nice outfits and high heels don't follow the same crowds patterns as regular crowds. The last time we did a Monday, it wasn't that fun. But DD is always a nice day in the parks.

I appreciate your thoughts. I forgot to mention that either way we will be getting 2 days of Max Pass.

And with 3 park days without hoppers we would spend 2 days at DL and 1 day at DCA.

We have been to WDW quite a number of times, but this is so new to us!!
