I am thinking about going to Paris for about a week around Christmas this year. Like WDW, is DLP a madhouse from December 21-30? What about Xmas day? Any tips for DLP around that time? THANKS!

I've not been at that time but went about 10 days before Xmas 2008...the parks were rammed, literally 60 minute waits for every ride and park closed to capacity on Saturday and Sunday.

I'd check out the trip reports from previous years for any info on how busy it was :)

I'd love to go for Christmas Day though...that would be awesome

We went for Christmas in 2005. It was very busy right up until the afternoon of Christmas Eve when everyone disappeared and subsequently the rides became a walk-on. :thumbsup2 Christmas Day was very manageable but from the next day onwards it became busier each day. We left on the 28th and it was becoming manic by then BUT it was a fantastic time and totally worth it.

Oh it is ::yes:: we've been lucky enough to spend Christmas Day at both DLP and WDW and it makes an already special day even more magical.

We have been lucky to be during Christmas season, although not on Christmas day . This is when you see DLP at it's best :goodvibes

We went the week before Christmas in 2008 and it was soooooo cold, my advice - ski suits!!!

I went the week before Christmas last December, and to be honest I thought it would be a lot more busy. The longest wait I had was 25/30 minutes for Crush's Coaster. Other than that, 5/10 minute wait, if that.

But even if there were long queues, its worth it! Christmas is amazing at Disney. From the decorations in the shops, to the giant tree, just magic. A special moment for me was walking down main street and suddenly hearing music from The Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack. That's my all-time favourite Christmas movie, and hearing it in a snowy Disneyland was just magic.

However, be warned that Disney is December is ffffreeeeeezzziiinngg!! Wrap up well. Seriously, there's no such thing as too many layers!

I agree with this 100%, haven't been so close to Christmas, early December only, everything was a walk on and the atmosphere was amazing. Humming along to Muppet Christmas Carol songs and other Christmas songs whilst walking around the park all decked out in Christmas decs was amazing. :cloud9:

Obviously when the schools breakup, weekdays will be busier.

We have stayed at the Marriott (not sure I would want to spend Christmas in a hotel room) which is great as you get a house, over Christmas in 2008 and 2010 and should be there for 2011.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are okay but Boxing Day was one of the busiest days we have ever seen.

I was there a few years ago from 27th to 29th and it was heaving. Very magical but very very busy.
Also the weekends during the Christmas season are always very busy - they hold special events and parties I think which adds to the numbers. Again I was there for the 2nd weekend of the season a couple of yrs ago (Nov 14-16) and it was uncomfortably busy on the Saturday and Sunday

Whenever you go i'm sure you'll have a wonderful time, DLP around Christmas is totally magical! We go during the last week of November, usually from Monday to Friday and it's always very quiet.
