I know this might sound a bit silly, but does anyone know how warm the DLH bedrooms are at night in winter?

I know they have heating (climate control type thing) but not sure just how warm it will be? When we have stayed previously it has always been red hot in the rooms (August & end Sept stays), but when we went in June it was quite chilly at times (one night, I slept in DH's fleece over my nightshirt!).

So, I'm wondering what we need for bed - I like to be very warm at night - PJs/bed socks if necessary. I have new Brave PJs from DS to leave out for the girls but they are just the cotton type - think they have brushed cotton bottoms? Will they need bed socks or anything else? I guess as they are sharing a bed, they will be warmer than if alone.

Sorry if this sounds silly but I hate being cold at night - already we have been putting our 'microwave wheaties' in our beds at night here :rotfl2:.

Hello! :wave2: Doesn't sound silly at all, this is just the kind of thing that I think about when going on hols.

We were there just last week and found the room to be pretty warm, we actually had the aircon running at cool during the night as my DH can't sleep in a hot room. I doubt you'll be cold in bed. My DD wore ordinary cotton pyjamas and still kicked off the covers during the night. I had a plain nightie and that was plenty. You'll have the duvet and a quilted bedspread/throw to keep you toastie under the covers. Though we didn't use the throw as it would have been too warm.

Also the heating is quite noisy so you might not want it on at night anyway. I was fine there last week in short-sleeved top & cropped trousers (cotton, not jersey or fleecy)

Thank you both for your replies :goodvibes (and for not thinking I am asking a silly question!).

Seems I don't need to pack the bed socks yet then :rotfl2:.

DH bought me some of the new Villain pjs (cotton, not fleecy) for Christmas - wondering if I can sweet talk him into letting me have them for our trip. It seems to be a tradition that we have new Disney nightwear for a Disney trip :thumbsup2.

When we were there last October I found the rooms way too hot but I can be really fussy about temperature - my inlaws were in the connecting room and while we had the aircon on over night (I can sleep through white noise but not being too hot) they didn't and you could tell the temperature difference when you went through the connecting door!

Thanks for this thread when we stayed at the sequoia lodge in December I was Farr too hit, I had requested a high floor room but had to have the window open every night!

Might ask for a ground floor room this time!
