if you have a family of 6 or been with a party of 6 or more did you stay in a suite or book 2 seperate conneting rooms? also how long did you stay? I will be going to Kuwait for 8 months {from departure to return} and would like to take my whole family and stay at the DLH when I return {sometime in the summer}...but I want to stay for around 11 days...I know this willbe expensive, but think it would be really nice to relax and enjoy for a change....we stayed at the camelot inn back in Aug and it was wonderful and I would stay there again, but would realy like to enjoy the DLH and will actualy have to money to do so! just looking for some opinions...thanks!

good idea...didn't think about the whole military thing...but I was thinking about booking with AAA...I just want to make sure we have enough room since we will have the 2 little ones with us~

Last year, there were 6 of us in my family staying at the DLH. We had planned for 5, but then at the last minute my grown dd joined us. The hotel let us have her in the room with us, though technically only 5 are allowed in a regular room (fire safety is the official reason, but the number of guests per room rule varies by state).

We had a room with 2 queens and a daybed. It worked fine for us, but our girls were 4, 4, 7, and then grown dd on the daybed. The 3 younger girls were fine in the queen bed. For older kids, it might be too crowded. You might call and ask about the baby--could be they'd let you have a crib in the room and you could all stay in one. I'm not saying you should do this, but you could always tell them it's a room for 5.

I'd go with the two connecting rooms. My BIL and SIL had a family of six the last they went to DL. They stayed at the GCH and got a bunk bed room. Most of their kids were small, and with the pull out trundle it worked out okay.

To make sure everyone has enough space to be comfy, and sleep, I'd go with the two connecting rooms!
