If you like The Magic Kingdom at WDW you'll think Disneyland is 10x better. Fantasyland's layout and theming cant be compared to WDW, yet alone the number of attractions they have in there. They have Alice In Wonderland, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, a better building for It's a Small World (by far better), Matterhorn and the whole atmosphere is more magical.
In Toworrowland the Space Mt. is better because it was just redone in 2005, an upgraded Buzz Lightyear ride, Startours, Inoventions, (imo) an amazing Autotopia that cant be skipped. I would say the 2 parks are even, while DL has upgraded rides and a better layout WDW has a better range of attractions (Stitch, Laugh Floor, People Mover ect...). They are pretty even in quality.
Adventureland is pretty diffrent. There is no Pirates here in DLR. The Jungle Cruise, Original Tiki Room, Indiana Jone's Ride, and Tarzan's Treehouse are here. It's just better. There is no Dumbo clone, no crazy bird show, no watered down pirate ride. It's classic Disney at it's best.
New Orlands(sp) Square is by far one of the best lands Disney has ever made. It holds 2 rides. The Haunted Mansion and PotC. THM is about the same quality wise. It is good in both parks, I prefer the line area in DLR more, but thats just personal opinion I think. PotC on the other hand is way better. It's longer and more thrilling. The lagoon at the beginning really sets the stage in a way WDW's never could. Another thing is the overall feel of the land, it's so well done it's really amazing.
Liberty Square, a WDW exclusive. It takes elements from DLR's NOS and Main Street and make a land. It's nothing like NOS, even though they are set in the saee country NOS takes you into the South with the smells, the sound of jazz, the large haunted plantation house and the underground restaurant the holds a secret pirate cave. The Abe Lincon show at DLR Main Street beats the Hall of Presidents over the head with a steel bat. It is by far better. And like I said the Haunted Mansion is about the same except for the theming at DLR's is by far better.
Frontierland, I like the one at WDW a tad more. There more to do and the Big Thunder MT imo is better theming wise. It is one place where WDW shines. And I am not counting Splash MT in this right now. DLR's is great, but something is missing it just dosnt seem full where as WDW's does seem full and finished. (note: this was only addressing the Big Thunder Mt. Area, not The Bear Show, Island or Splash Mt.)
The Frontier Islands, These are about the same since they are now completely diffrent, DLR has Pirate Lair and WDW has the original. Imo it's a matter of opinion.
Critter Country, great, great land. I like how cozy it feels with Splash MT and Winnie the Pooh right next to each other. The Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes are a unique experience that will leave you tired. It's a shame WDW didnt separate the 2 and make it standout like they did at DLR.
Toon Town, no comparing at all DLR is better. It has everything WDW has and soooooooo much more. Roger Rabbit's ride is the star of the area here. It is pulled off amazingly.
Main Street USA. Not much to be said really. The only thing is the train. It is a ride of it's own. The theming is amazing as you *** through the diffrent lands. It has a Dinosaur show and more stops.
Now DL is 10x better than The Magic Kingdom. I didnt even go into things like the Sub ride, or DCA's who's gotten a huge upgrade over the last 4 years and will continue to grow into something amazing into 2012. Toy Story Mania, Monster's Inc Ride, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Story Book Canals, Casey JR's Train, A Bug's Land, River Raft Ride, ect... are all thing's I didnt mention. The rides here are WDW's x10. Though I think the whole WDW is better it is watered down I think DLR is something you need to do at least once in your life if your a Disney fan.
