We are arriving at DL in the afternoon on August 15th. I was planning to try and book the Fantasmic dessert package for the 17th, but now I am thinking since that is when SoCal Ap holders are unblocked that might be a bad move. Will it be crazy that night. I know we have seating with this, but will it be impossible to get to the seating area. Is it better to try and book it on the 15th or 16th? Will it be less crowded then? We wanted to do it earlier in the trip in case it was cancelled we would have more chances to see it. We are leaving on the 21st. Very confused with DL planning! TIA.

I say get your PS for F! Whenever cause the seating area is well blocked offyou shouldn't have a problem at all getting to it or out. Especially if you book the early show and stay to watch the fireworks then head out after the crowds have gone :) I think being summer, and if the dragon finally appears; it's going to be crowded no matter what. :)

I agree with the post above ... just get the PS reservation/tickets if its busy shouldn’t really matter because you have your own seats... But I do have to tell you need to wait in line to get your seats after you pick up your tickets from city hall.....they will tell you to be there in line at a certain time... but be there at least 30 to 20 min before so you can get the better of the priority seating because they have two rows ....

When we did this August time, the place was packed and they do have 3 rows but you need to get there(podium) at 30 minutes prior to the check in time . We will be making ressie's for F as soon as they become avail for this August.
