DL Tickets going up as of 8/3/08!!

Thanks - I jumped on and get my parkhoppers for November - saved me $50.00!!!

Thank you! I just went to Ares Travel and got our park hoppers for December for a few dollars off each. Just saved $70.

How about prices for the AP's who go on block out days. I'm going monday! Hopefully its not too busy!

Thanks for the warning--I'm glad I dropped by here this evening! I'm on hold with Ares Travel right now to get our 3 day park hoppers.

Thank you for the warning. I had a feeling yet everyone was assuring me it wouldn't happen till October or later. Glad I dropped in tonight. Just ordered from Ares for our family and most of my siblings and saved about $100.

yikes!! i was planning on buying on the military base, i hope they don't raise their rates yet, i think they pre purchase their tickets.

Today is sunday - I just checked the site they haven't upped their prices yet :confused3 Am I looking in the wrong place?

Does the Disney Store sell Annual Passes? My sister was going to buy one for our upcoming trip in August (we are also going in November). We do have a Disney Store close to us (SunValley Mall) but I'm wondering if she should just buy them from disneyland.com today. :confused3

Yes, we do sell APs, both Deluxe and Premium. And no, the Disney Stores are NOT increasing the prices, we havent heard anything at all for DLR ticket increases.
And that is too funny that Sunvalley Mall is your local store, cause that is the one I work in!!!

Thank you to all for posting this thread. Greg and I ordered our tickets just an hour before the price increase, saving us $20 -- or some beignets and coffee! :)

tickets look to be the same prices today as they were yesterday

You know, my aunt saw on the news in San Jose that Disney was upping their prices, so its definitely for sure if they put on the 6 o'clock news. They said it was $3 more for a one day park hopper.

I know $10 is kind of a jump, but if you think about it everything is more expensive now. Electricity, gas, food, etc. Also they dream people all the time at DLR. They've got to pay for it eventually. Whenever I have pay, I just bite my tongue because Disney always does things 150% and it doesn't bother me to pay that much because the quality of service is fantastic.

I unfortunately have to wait until September to get my AP for the first time, but hey its alright :)

I know I'm gonna get some bashers about prices, but DLR is a luxury. Of course its gonna be pricey.

I'm still going though; I love this place.

Im not gonna bash because I agree they pretty much do give you 150%.

If the food was a little better it would be great but the entertainment and fireworks and rides are top notch above everyone else.

I thought that AP's werew $369 last year for premium and now they are $389. that would be a $20 hike. I might be wrong though, so I guess I'm just asking if that is the case.

I agree as well. DLR is a luxury, and we should all be grateful that we even get to go. Many, many families never get to go.
I also agree that the food could be a little better, and some restuarants, others are fine how they are (Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, for example).

I dont know how many of you (probably many) went in 2002. Do you remember the promotions they did that summer to help draw crowds, becuase they were afraid of losing some $$ and crowds after the 9/11 attacks?? With the status of the economy, DLR should do another promo this year, to help draw their crowds in, rather than financially pushing more families away. There is NO WAY I would be able to go this year at all if it wasnt for the fact that I work at the Disney Store and get complimentary tickets, and discounts on food and merchandise in the parks, and the fact that yes I am a planner, so every week I $25 on a Disney gift card until our trip.

All in all, yes, it is a luxury, but they should being doing promos this year to get more families to come. Thats just my $0.02.

I just checked, and they did change Disneyland.com to the new ticket prices.

I agree with the PPs. I personally think Disneyland is worth the price of admission. I'm kind of not suprised the price of tickets went up with the prices of everything else going up too.

Eventually they will price out half of their patrons, I love how when times are tough economically corporate America sees it as time to increase revenue. Geez.

My parents tell me me and my sister were able to go alot as kids and much of that was because it was cheap and affordable. If I lived as a kid today I doubt I would get to go very often. I guess most things in the world do get worse with time!

I was just looking at the DL website on ticket prices, the 2-5 day passes did not increase in price, still same as the store prices. APs did increase, and I am not sure of the price on 1 day passes, so I dont know if those increased or not.

HTH anybody!!

I just looked at the DL website and the price for a 3 day hopper is still the same (169) if you buy it online.....the regular price is 199 up from 189....AP's have gone up too, although the So Cal AP (which I will be getting next weekend) only went up $5 from $169 to $174 so I can live with that. I agree that tickets are expensive but they're expensive everywhere! I live by Magic Mountain and although we haven't been there in over 10 years, the prices there right now I believe are around $60-$70 and that's only for a one day, one park admission. And Magic Mtn. is nowhere near as nice or as fun as DL...there's no comparison so I'd much rather pay a little more to be able to go somewhere enjoyable!!
