I finally got through to book a hotel room and for our dates in June it is $935/night! Wow! I knew it would be high but I was not prepared for that high!
What? I got an immediate link to "view my e tickets." I clicked on that. I then had to manually link all the e tickets to my account, and then I could make a reservation.
I booked 3 nights in Dec at the Grand (13-16). I didn't take the time to copy the rates, ugh! But our standard room was somewhere around $665-685/night. I added 2 3-day park hoppers and our total with tax was $3100, if that helps. *edited to fix price
*interesting note: they did not require a 1-night's deposit, just $200!
How did you do 2 separate transactions? My brother is buying tickets but had to buy them all at once. Couldn't figure out how to do different transacations.
I took the first all the way thru completion...tickets and reservations. When it looked like you were back on the Disney home page, I went back to "buy tickets" and it let me do another ticket / reservation transaction.
For anyone purchasing: I'm walking my DD through (via FaceTime) and the website is having SUPER slow load times. Be patient. It took a while for the purchase page to come up. And then once they were bought, then a full minute for the log in to go through. Then the reservation page was another wait. Again, be patient. At least you're not still stuck with us in the "over an hour" club!
I was able to get through to book the Grand Californian standard room on ~June 20th. ~800/night (without taxes). You are -required- to order tickets. So I ordered 3 day park hoppers and booked the room. Though when you click on 'Theme Park Reservations' it PUTS YOU BACK IN QUEUE.
So waited about 35 minutes for the hotel reservation. Back in queue for the theme park reservation. Waiting time over one hour. =( Beware attempting to get both a hotel and theme park admission due to this design.
Ah yes...it looks like if you are going to use a Queue code from someone who has already "gotten in", it expires 10 minutes later (10 minutes from when the original party first "got in" I assume).
"Your Queue Number is No Longer Valid
Queue numbers are only valid for 10 minutes, and your queue number has now expired."
