DL special shows

My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and niece all planned a trip to DL for August. Are there any special dinner shows or meals that would be good for a fun family get-together?

We like Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. It's hilarious!!! But if you've got a large you'll need to grab tables earlier as they really only seat 4.

They're re-opening the bbq in Frontierland, in April, this time with characters and a show:

I've no idea what the show will be (Toy Story characters, maybe? I know it's in the general area where Woody does his meet & greets...), but the food was really, really good...hopefully it'll be the same as before! Or even better

Now, if they'd just bring back Tahitian Terrace, or, failing that, Aladdin's Oasis (which I never did get to experience!)...

Going in August, there will be entertainment galore!! Disneyland.com's calendar will show the entertainment & times (when the trip gets a bit closer).
We enjoy doing character meals, fantasmic, fireworks, parades (all of them), Billy Hill & the Hillbillies & catching the different bands/groups on Main Street. There will be so much offered during the summer, it will be hard for them to see it all.....but what ever they pick, they should love (no matter the ages)

If you want to splurge, how about the Fantasmic dessert? I've never done it but you get a dessert box and a reserved seat for the show. Also, for an interesting meal (without a show) try the Blue Bayou. There are different opinions on the qualitly of the food but I think everyone agrees that the atmosphere is fabulous.
