At
Disneyland Hotel, the pool (which is great, by the way

) is right in the middle, between the 3 towers. It isn't like WDW, where everything is spread out over long distances. Downtown Disney is right there, you walk through DD to get to the parks, which are right next to each other. It is all very compact.

The Bonita Tower is only very slightly farther than the others. Still walking distance.
I have only stayed in regular rooms, but my experience has been that, when using
DVC points, they give you the best available room, it isn't like they stick you in the back corner. I haven't tried the suites or concierge service, but you might ask over on the Disneyland Board. Of course, the Grand Californian is right in between DCA and DD, so of course it is the closest to the parks. It is a lovely place, but I haven't stayed there yet.... I'm partial to the location of the Disneyland Hotel.
