Well, is it only the specific AP7 rates you are looking for? I mean, there is a Fall Promo that was advertised on the DLR website, which lasts until/through December 19, so it may not be as good as the AP7 rates but it is a deal! Also, as I am sure you know, just because rooms are booked in one department - like for AP7 - it doesn't mean they are unavailable in other departments, like through the Fall Promo Discount. They block certain numbers of rooms for certain offers and for the Travel Company, so there are always rooms floating around - you just need to call all the different places. Also, I am sure you can get a room at PPH or DLH during your stay and just apply the AP 10% discount to it. I think it is just the specific rooms set aside for AP7 that are booked, but you could still use your AP discount on a room through Central Reservations!

Otherwise, just keep calling back up until a few days before your arrival date. Generally, people have to cancel through Central 5 days before arrival to get a full refund. So if you are willing to do a last minute switcheroo, you might benefit form someone's cancellation just days before your arrival!

Just wanted to add that, I did try 3 months ago for the rate. I have been calling calling and calling. something must be going on with those dates. They have been fully booked for 2 months.... I have been trying for just any basic room and nothing!!! it is a tad frustrating!

Let's see.... Okay, process of elimination. 1. We know the AP7 rooms are unavailable at this time. 2. So, you're saying you also called Central directly and asked for just a regular old standard room, having nothing to do with AP7 rates, and nothign was available? 3. Otherwise, the next option would be to call about the specific Fall Promo rates. Now, I received an e-mail with a link to the website where the Fall Promo was mentioned (and that lasts through 12/19). That probably has a specific code attached to it so you likely have to ask about that specific code to see if there are any rooms available for that promo. Did you do that? If you cannot find a mention of the Fall Promo, I can PM you the link to it. 4. Then, the next option would be to check Getawaytoday.com. Did you do that? 5. The only other option I can think of off hand is if you book a package at the Travel Company that includes tickets and then sell the tickets but keep the hotel room. I know it is considered a no-no to sell tickets but if that is the only way to get a hotel room (and the Travel Company usually has rooms available when Central does not), it might be worth looking into!?

Hmmm....hubby doesn't want to risk getting the WDTC package and then selling off the tickets, huh? I think that is what I would do if there were no other options. That, as well as keep calling Central up until 5 days before your arrival and see if you can get in on someone's cancellation. People always cancel, and most of them want to get their full refund. They can only do that if they cancel at least five days before arriving. So you may have luck aorund that time, even though it will be short notice. There was a poster on here a couple of weeks ago who wanted a room at the DLH for this upcoming weekend, and all the rooms were booked due to the Miley Cyrus b-day party and other events. He kept calling different departments of Disney Reservations and eventually he found one dept. that still had tickets - with less than two weeks before arrival. People probably jumped on those rates just to book a room, and will end up cancelling or switching hotels later. I wouldn't give up hope yet. It is still 2 weeks away - plenty of time for people to cancel!

Let me go get that e-mail I received with the Fall Promo info and I will send you the link to the ad via PM. Give me just a few minutes, okay?

Now of course, December is totally different than October in terms of crowds, so maybe that is why your dates are so booked up. You're calling (714) 520-5006?

re: packages, this is on mousesavers.com:

Packages for Disneyland Annual Passholders

Disneyland Annual Passholders can purchase Disneyland Resort packages without purchasing tickets. Packages may include accommodations and other exclusive items that make your visit to the Disneyland Resort truly magical.

Packages include:

*

Accommodations at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort
*

Preferred Seating to select shows at Disney's California Adventure
*

Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness! Guests can enter Toontown an hour before the general public.
*

Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin, lanyard and luggage tag (one per person)

Call (800) 824-1146 or (714) 520-5060 to book these packages.

So they might have availability when no one does!

You might try breaking up your trip when you ask about availability. Find out which (if any) nights are NOT booked up and reserve them. Keep calling and maybe you can get all of the nights by the time you need them. Does that make sense? Getting all 6 days may be impossible right now in one chunk, as any one night of those that is booked is going to give you the answer that there is no availability period. I think you could just add the new dates as you get them to your existing reservation, but that would be the questionable part. You could always have more than one reservation going, but you'd end up paying a full night's deposit for each one.

Are you a AAA member? You could probably go through them and see if you could get hotel and a character meal, which would constitute a package and maybe open up some room possibilities at the resort hotels.

I now see that Bumbershoot has the same suggestion! (AAA uses WDTC).

eeyore! It's showing up at DLH for your dates on Expedia!! $260/night standard; $305 view

thanks for the help everyone.. I am just going to keep trying and calling. it will open up soon I am sure of it!

Lori: it may not open up. The dates you are going are the Utah break days--often known as UEA--Utah Escapes to Anaheim. I suspect that is why all the hotels are all booked.

I suggested that to her as well - about breaking up the dates and making different reservations for each night - in the PM I sent with the Fall Promo code. Sometimes the rooms are blocked in the computer as being 2 and 3-day stays or more, so when you look up a block of time to see if it is available, the system may recognize that whole block of days as being booked, but if you ask for the dates individually (which of course is a pain because you could have several different reservations at once), you will find they are available. And then with a supervisor's approval, they can connect the reservations and make it one closer to the trip. Initially I had just 2 nights booked for this upcoming PPH stay. When I tried to add a third night onto my existing reservation, the system said it was booked because it was identifying that whole three nights as one block that was booked. But the one night individually was available, so they made a separate reservation for the one night, then got a supervisor, then connected it into one reservation.
