DL Hotel to LAX for an 8:20am flight-what time to leave?

Hi all!
We'll be heading to LAX from the DLH on a Wednesday in a couple of weeks to catch an 8:20am domestic flight. What time should we plan for the Uber/Lyft? I'm thinking 5am? We have TSA precheck in case that matters at all. We will be checking 2 bags.

I appreciate any advice! The craziest airport we've ever been though was Miami so LA and LAX scare me!

It's a Wednesday with United.

maleficent55 believe me I did not choose this flight, my husband did. We actually paid more to get up at the buttcrack of dawn. The other option got us home at like 2am, which I totally preferred, but he did not. ETA the other flight leaves LAX at 9pm and gets home at 5am. I'm tempted to talk him into moving it. We've never done a red eye, so I think he's worried about that. I like the idea of another day in the area and being so exhausted that I sleep all the way home.

5am allows plenty of pad. I like to live dangerously, so would make it 6am personally but I understand most people have a different risk tolerance than I do.

Oh, and I completely agree with your husband about avoiding red-eyes.

OMG I never would have thought to try and convince him, but I did! Just switched so now we have another day in LA to play! Thank you!

oh my god!! That's amazing! I am so glad I suggested and that your husband accepted that idea. Now you can sleeping and maybe get a nice tropical breakfast at Tangaroa Terrace before having a little fun.
Getting up early on your last vacation day when you are "disney tired" is NOT fun!
