DL Hotel $440 per Night. Is That Normal?

For what it's worth, it really has a lot to do with the time of the year.
You can expect the rates to be sky-high during peak season, which of course includes Summer.

We live in SoCal and are Premium Pass Holders and I STILL can't justify the cost. We are finally going to stay @ DLH in February, beause the rates during Dapper Days is only $184/night...the lowest I've ever seen it, including pass prices.

It has to do with demand and what the market will bear. They might not even worry so much if rooms go unfilled, because a full hotel may mean having to bring in help on short notice.

Heck - one year I remember pricing lodging options in South Lake Tahoe and Stateline, NV around New Year's Eve. The Motel 6 in South Lake Tahoe jumped up to maybe $400. By the next weekend it was down to it's typical $55/night. I checked for this year, and it is jumping up to about $126, but drops down to $75 the next night.

I expect DL can charge whatever the market will bear.
