We're going on our first trip to DL this summer :cool1: ! I'm looking for some recomendations for veg meals, counter or sitdown. No meat, no fish, but yes on dairy and eggs. Suggestions?
Thanks!

I am not sure how strict of a vegetarian you are, because some of this stuff may contain animal products, but off the top of my head:

The corndog stand at DCA has cheese on a stick
Redd Rockets has cheese pizza, salads, and at least one meatless pasta dish
There is vegetarian gumbo in a bread bowl in New Orleans square (though it may contain chicken or beef broth, I have never asked)
I have seen veggie sandwiches at Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street before
Bengal BBQ has really good veggie skewers

Most places should have at least one veggie option, especially any place that sells pasta. Some of the restaurants have PBJ as an option for kids meals. There are also quite a few restaurants in Downtown Disney, which makes it a lot easier to find veggie entrees.

We've had the vegetarian gumbo twice at the Royal Street Veranda. Since the name of it is *vegetarian* rather than *vegetable*, we trust that it's actually vegetarian.

(in other words, no word games like Pizza Hut was doing with it's 'vegetable lover's pizza' with the beef products in the pizza sauce, grr, or McD's with their fries made in vegetable oil but not mentioning that the initial processing of the potatoes involved another beef product)

I have yet to try the veggie kebab's.

Hmm. Guess I haven't eaten all that much in our one-day blasts through the park! Sorry for the tiny bit of info, wish it could be more!

I edited this to add that the gumbo is rather salty, so if you're sensitive, you're forewarned. I have to drink extra water with it to keep the salt from wreaking havoc. Also, the bowl seems expensive, but it's actually quite filling, even before you hit the bread part of the bread-bowl.

The potato soup at Carnation Cafe is awesome! There is also pizza at Pizza Port, their chicken fusilli is great even without the chicken, I love the sauce!!

Broccoli and Cheese Breadbowl, salads at Pizza Port or Taste Pilots Grill, the all Cheese Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans is awesome!! Plus there are tons of seafood choices at all the nicer restaurants!!

Also! I googled "disneyland vegetarian" and found some nice articles.

Hmm. Since I have too few posts, I can't post a link. If you do the google search, it's the jonkubis.com one.

Gumbo Gumbo... Vegetarian Gumbo... yum yum. Can be found next to POTC!
