DL 1/2 Closed, 5K Closed, Kids Run Closed Reg Update(7/20)

The DL 1/2 is now 85% full. Better hurry if you want to run.

BTW, Registration for the Kids' Races has reached capacity and is now closed. The 5K will be limited to 4,000 runners and registration has reached 75% of the capacity.

Luckily the Tahoe fire is on the other side of us(SW vs NE). Sad to see! We have had to deal only with the smoke.

Thanks for keeping us all updated -- I think I may actually have been the person who closed out the DL 1/2 registration. I definitely got in just under the wire. I was being a total slacker, kind of on the fence about whether to do it again this year, but seeing your post the other day was the kick in the pants I needed, so thanks again!

Now for the other details...like where to stay, when to fly in, etc....

Definitely! WDW I committed to nice and early -- it will be my first Goofy, though, so I suspect I will see the back of your shirt in the far distance more than you will see any of me.

But if you do see me, remind me that I owe you a drink for the heads up on DL -- I'll be the one in the bright green shirt!

I won't be much(if any) ahead of you at the Goofy. Plan to take it "easy" for the 1/2 and survive the full. Just make the cuts at mile 10 & 20. That's my objective. DW & I did 3:21 & 6:59 in 07. She hurt her PF at mile 13 in the full and hobbled badly to finish with 52 seconds to spare. I did 06 by myself in 3:05 & 6:32. 08 will be more like 07 as will be doing with DW. Were out there to have some "fun"
