Rob and I are going to have a DJ at our reception. I was wondering if any of you recommend a DJ for us to book. Thank you in advance for your suggestions. They are very much appreciated.

We had DJ Richie - and he was wonderful, so poite and well dressed - seamless in his DJing also a good MC - listened and acted on all my music choices - and good fun. I didn't actually choose him he was sorted out for us through Disney themselves but I had heard of him previously and knew he had a good reputation.

He does have a website I think so I'll email him and see if I can get it.

We also had DJ Richie, he was fantastic all of our guest loved him.

LOL Jo I didn't know you had DJ Richie too, how cool

I don't suppose you did a journal of your day or could share more details on another thread - do you have piccies?

Are you gonna have lots of DMB??

so disney assigns a DJ to you? i wasn't for sure how booking a DJ works: either you select one or disney does it for you. thanks guys for your responses. i really appreciate them.

oh i would love to have nothing but DMB played at the reception. i don't think rob will go for it though  i'll look to see what songs i do want played at the reception.

ps..tink..you have a PM

Crash!!
Crush!!!
I'll back you up!! Makes me cry everytime

41!!!!

oh yes definitely crash and crush and now that i think about it, i'll back you up sounds like a good choice, too. i don't want any of those staple songs that you hear at every reception: the electric slide, macarena, YMCA, etc. it's expected and i don't want that at our reception. i want people to have fun and not listen to those songs that are played at every single party. so, this DJ richie guy, can i ask for him when i talk to my EM?

Yup you can make requests for DJ's obviously Disney will just say that they can't make any promises.

There are other good DJ's too so maybe some of the other past brides will recommend those to you on here too.

I actually had DJ Steve who was recommended by randy Chapman and my EM. He was fabulous and even though we only had 30 poeple he got everyone moving.

i also heard Scooter was good. A friend of mine went to a wedding he DJ'd and also went to ours and liked DJ Steve.

:earsgirl: :earsboy:

everyone has nothing but good things to say about the DJ's they had for their reception. it's a hard decision. should i just speak to my EM about picking a DJ?

i am so excited for your wedding tink!! LOL..does that sound very stalkerish of me???

no, :p it doesn't sound stalkerish at all disneydmbnut. i am just so excited about it all. tomorrow will be exactly 3 months from our wedding so the excitement is increasing every day. it's all so exciting but at the same time a little nerve wracking because i know i'll be swamped with attention that i'm not used to at all. so i don't know how i'm gonna handle everyone oohing and ahhing at me through out the days before and the day of the wedding. something tells me that at one point, i'll be kicking at my heels saying, "there's no place like home."

Awww...just remember to take a deep breath and make mental notes...that way you have memories...trust me..it will be so overwhelming that you might miss it!

yes, happy thoughts are good. must have the happy thoughts come wedding day. :D i know what i'll do; i'll bring a portable radio and bring my dmb cd's and have them playing while i get ready for my big day. DMB always calms me down and makes me so happy. but i would prefer to have the radio@aol DMB station because they play round the clock and i wouldn't have to change cd's. or, i'll bring some favorite movies to keep my mind in order and my nerves in check.

wow, i didn't even think of that!! that would be great to have "i did it" play as we enter our reception. "i did it do you think i've gone to far? i did it. guilty as charged..." that would be awesome. thanks for the idea firefly girl.

"Make a bomb of love and BLOW IT UP"!!

I can't find the AOL DMB Station..where is?? I tried to search for it!

Did I tell you my phone rings "The Stone" ( another good song ) "hold up my head when my head won't hold on...I 'll do the same for you if you want"

and when my boss calls..it plays Satallite

and when DH calls...When you wish upon a star!!
