Being a single mom, I try to do as many repairs around the house as I can, myself. Sometimes, when you take things apart it's hard to figure out how the heck to get them together again!;) I have found, if I take digital pictures of things BEFORE I take them apart it makes it a whole lot easier to put them together again!:thumbsup2

Depending on the complexity of the project, sometimes it's a good idea to take serial pictures as you go through the disassembly, including some pictures of individual parts or sub-assemblies. For those who have to justify purchases to another member of the family unit, this is your justification for getting a macro lens, and maybe even a ring flash unit. And with the prices that some repair people charge it doesn't take all that long to cover the cost of a new lens.
