OK, I have many family members who have passed away. 3 of them with in the past 2 years. Anytime anything good happens, or something bad DOESN'T happen, we like to think they are up there helping us out.
Well, I recently posted about my sister, who is having a hard time at work, because she needs to take alot of time off to care for her premmie baby, who has health issues. We babysit for each other. I watch her baby 3 days a week for a few hours a day, and she watches my kids on Friday night so I can earn a few dollars delivering pizza. (my Dh works nights) She will also watch them if I need to run some errands, or like last night, go out with a friend. (once in a blue moon) I was going into Boston to see a show, so I knew I would be late getting home. We just arranged for the kids to sleep at her house, and I would pick them up in the morning when she was leaving for work. She stressed that I needed to be there BEFORE 6:35 because that is the latest she can leave her house without being late. No problem. I will be there at 6:15.
I got home at 12:30Am. I set the alarm for 5:45, and remember thinking "5 hours of sleep, yay" I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I vaguely remember Dh trying to wake me up, not sure. It didn't work. The alarm went off. God, I hate the sound of an alarm clock. I got up, walked across the room ,and I THOUGHT I pushed the snooze, to give myself 9 more minutes. I crawl back into bed. Next thing I know, I hear that darn alarm again. GGGRRRRR. I wait to see if Dh will jump up, but no luck. I open my eyes. I don't hear the alarm. Why? I look at the time says 6:13AM! SHOOT! WTH???? I had gone back to sleep for 30 minutes, I had SHUT the alarm off, and crawled back into bed. Rushing around, I called sis, and let her know I was on my way. She calmly told me I still had time. I got the kids, and went back home. She was able to leave for work on time.
All day I have been wondering how did I hear the sound of an alarm clear as can be? My alarm clock was not set, and yet, the sound of an alarm in my head woke me up in the nick of time, before my sister could of gotten in trouble for being late again.
All I can think of, is someone up there knew there was no way my sister could late today. And she wasn't.
