My company's human resources dept. handles it. We have EOE guidelines and such they are supposed to follow. They do pretty well, over half the staff here are female and we have a good mix of races, nationalities, immagration status etc., even at the higher levels. Every couple of years we have "sensitivity" seminars we all have to go to, so the employees know that the company will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. As far as I know, they enforce it, too, although most issues are confidential, the rumor mill backs up the companies claim of zero tollerance.
