I asked about this in another thread about the cabanas, but would really like to know.

Do they do a dive-in movie? What nights? I was thinking of getting a cabana for our last day...a friday, so we could spend the latter part of the day and evening relaxing before we head out on Saturday morning. A movie would be a great addition. If they do, can you see it well from any of the cabanas? Thanks!

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

We stayed at the Hard Rock last year. They did the Dive in Movie on Friday. I Thought that Royal Pacific's was on Saturday night last year. But I recently saw a posting listing it as on Friday. It is a fun time. Get there early to buy a float or innertube. And get your chairs early. The cabanna's may not have the best view of the movie screen. At the Hard Rock the movie screen was facing the hotel, so the best seats were directly in front of the Hotel. Not sure how Royal pacific is set up though.

Thanks for replying. I hope they have it on friday. Thanks for the tips!

True. The cabanas were in back of the screen at RPR, also, and the best seats were the tables right across the pool from the cabanas. The sound is just so/so, but it's fun.

We were there in December, the movie was on Friday Night...they showed Home Alone. Was pretty cool that night, so there were not many folks watching the movie. Would be fun on a warm night.

Thanks very much guys. Just what I was hoping to hear. I guess a movie in the cabana won't work. Might still get the cabana though, just for a nice place to relax on the last day. Any opinions on them? Are they worth the extra $?

We rented one for half a day at HRH a couple of years ago. My husband said it was the best part of the trip.

I'm not a sun person, so hanging out on a lounge chair facing the kiddie pool while under a tent was GREAT for me!

There was fruit and a small fridge with water. Also, there was a t.v. My little one took a nap in there; we ordered dinner to the cabana from the pool restaurant.

Lastly, I believe it was a Sunday and they showed Billy Madison as the dive in movie. I could be mistaken, but I think my son watched it while floating on a "noodle" which was given for free. But, I am old and do forget these things!

Splurge, and have fun!

poop! I was really thinking that would be a relaxing way to spend our last night there.
