I Love the look on Chelsea's Face!!! Precious!
Thank you! I think she's a cutie even when she is nabbing my dessert!
I am hysterical over the image of Connor dry retching in CHH!

I am sure it was not funny at the time but it's funny now. So you liked your fish? I didn't have the greatest meal there but I am assuming it was an off day.
I was so stunned at the time that I was in shock! LOL! Then, I thought -- oh this will make it into the TR. I did like my fish -- I really wish I had tried the tuna sandwich though.
You got a lot done on your first night! How long were you there? Love the rainbow pic!
I really need to try a zebra dome.
The crowds were not bad at all that night. I looked at my receipts and such from that day and we went to Columbia Harbor House at 5:30 and went with Charles to the Mara at 9:42, so I would guess we spent about three hours doing rides that evening.
You do need to try a zebra dome -- they are sooo good!
Great update Jackie, the dialogue from CHH was us last year. The choices for kids on the dining plan, especially when they get a little older are horrid. On our October trip Baylor still qualified at a kid but we did Tables in Wonderland instead to avoid the grief.
Thank you! I am so glad that the next time we go Connor will be eating off the adult menu -- it will be one less thing for him to gripe about.
Great pictures of the kids on the Liberty Belle!
I am glad that Chelsea was able to find some comfort in her little brother while riding Haunted Mansion! I had an episode last summer when Haunted Mansion totally creeped me out....

but I have ridden it since

Good for Chelsea going even though it sacred her! She's a trooper!
Jungle Cruise is a fun one at night!
Now I'm wondering if Connor ever did get on Splash.....
Thanks! Chelsea is a trooper -- there is nothing that child won't ride at least once. I love Jungle Cruise no matter what time of day it is!
Splash -- sigh. That's all I am saying.
Poor Connor with the kids meals! I think I would have gotten Liam something at Pecos Bills to go and then went to CHH for us....I don't do well with whinnng when it comes to eating.
I just wasn't prepared for the whining -- it took me totally off guard.
I was worried that you wouldn't like your meal at CHH since you didn't get the tuna sandwich....my DH liked the fish there also, although he prefers the fish at the Yorkshire shop.
Loved it although I need a redo so I can order what I really want. LOL!
It sounds like you had a great little night at MK (even without your Diva!). And cheers to you for letting the kids ride by themselves!
We did -- the crowds were super low in comparison to other times -- I am going on Saturdays from now on.
I was a little hesitant at first, but then I thought, "What could possibly happen?" It was nice to stick them in the line and then go sit down.
Dry retching in the restaurant. Hmmm. How DOES one deal with that as a parent? But I have to say I'm right there with him on the overly fishy smell in general (I haven't been to CHH specifically). I like to eat various seafood but when it has that really fishy smell?
I still have no idea what to do -- it is not in any of the parenting guidebooks! Ha ha! Columbia Harbor House does not smell fishy to me -- Connor was just trying on his diva crown that night to see how it fit.
Sounds like you had a lovely evening. I think that the riverboat may have to go on my list too. I haven't done that since I was a little kid!
And Jungle Cruise at night... can't wait!
OK- don't gasp- but when I stayed at AKL I didn't try the zebra domes. I'm not really a sweets person. What is in them?
You should ride the riverboat -- there are some great picture opportunities of Frontierland and Liberty Square and there is a cute little narration.
Trying not to gasp!

They have cake and a kind of mocha-flavored filling on the inside.
Oh, poor connor! I wouldn't want to eat every meal off the kids menu either
I wouldn't either -- he was much better when we had buffet meals.
Nice rainbow! That's got to be a good sign!
I thought so, too!

Chelsea is my kind of girl!
Mine, too, so I couldn't really fuss to much -- those zebra domes are hard to resist.
Oh poor Connor and the food dilemna and ewww to the dry retching LOL! I'm not particularly fond of a fishy smell either but I do love me some fried fish LOL!
I was speechless when I looked down and saw that happening.

I don't think it smells fishy in CHH at all.
Oh my Haunted Mansion how wonderful it is to see thee....poor Chelsea I hope someday she too will learn too love the treasure that is that experience.
I just don't get it since she'll ride Tower of Terror and that's way scarier in my opinion.
Zebra Dome thief...LOL...loved the pictures CP! However I'm not sure I would have been able to resist those looked absolutely heavenly LOL!
I would have been hard pressed to resist as well!
Oh man I am totally dying on your CHH scenario....we had a similar one at Fultons..our older niece (almost 13 at the time) loves shrimp, crab etc....eats it all the time so I thought, GREAT I will book Fultons because DH and I love it and the picky child can eat til her hearts content
While waiting for a table DH took her into the bar area so she could see all the different shellfish and fish...well she completely freaked out, never seen it that way before, you know some live lobsters and all the fish spread out in the glass cases...she refused to eat anything because it was once alive
I said are you kidding me? You eat chicken, that was once clucking around, you eat burgers, what do you thing we passed on the I-75 large dogs?? Of course the food we eat was once alive.
She said yea I know that but I have never SEEN it be alive before I ate it.
So she had a giant bowl of mac and cheese and every time DH cracked open a grab claw she show him a dirty look and when I took a big bite of my lobster tail she said "You know its mother is probably missing it right now"
Oy teenage drama at its best!
I about died when I read the comment, "You know its mother is probably missing it right now."

That reminds me of the time that Chelsea and Connor decided they were going to be vegetarians -- which was terribly funny since they LOVE meat! That lasted until about the next meal.
Yea an update!

Your conversation at CHH reminds me of the one DH and I had in March, only it wasn't about fish. I had scanned all the menus looking for healthy meals with no fried foods - DH really has to watch his weight, and fried usually doesn't agree with me. I thought I had found some great choices here, and we hadn't eaten there before. So as we are heading over there, DH says, "so why are we eating here and not Pecos Bills?"
"Because this place has better choices."
"What are they"
"Turkey wraps, salads, and stuff like that."
"I don't like salad."
"I just thought this would be better for us and it sounds really nice."
"I don't like salad."
"Fine. Let's go to Pecos Bill's and fight for a table!"

so we did.
I agree, the kid's menus really stink.
That sounds like Charles and me!
I love the rainbow! I wonder how many people looked up and saw it? Chelsea looks so cute after stealing the Zebra Dome!
It was so neat to see it -- I have never seen a rainbow at Disney before.
Chelsea seems to think her cute face will get her out of trouble. Sometimes it works!
What a nice way to start a Saturday morning - with an all out belly-laugh! I can totally see the CHH scenario.
Too funny!
Now, at least.
Maybe not for you at that moment.
Glad my update started your Saturday off in such a good way. I really was in such shock at the time that Connor was acting like that, that I wasn't too upset. I just kept thinking I needed him to stop.
Those PBJ things were served in our summer school lunches, too, at least once a week, and the kids threw them away by the dozens. Apparently, Connor's opinion of the horribleness is shared by many others.
He said it left a funny aftertaste and wasn't like the ones I made at home.
From the picture on the boat, though, it looks like he made it just fine. He is a lucky boy to have a mom and sister who would not let him die of starvation in a stinky restaurant in Disney World.
Yeah, we weren't going to let him starve -- it would have been a loud and drawn-out production and we had rides to ride!
Yep, there are definitely supposed to be five of those delectable bites of heaven in that tray. I would know!

Good for Chelsea for discovering the deliciousness!
Little stinker -- wait until you see how many zebra domes she consumed that week!
