Grand Californian Villas

So is there anyone else interested in sharing a villa at GC? We might have as many as 11 wanting our 2-bedroom and I have a chance to add a studio. If we have 12 or 13 and a few would be willing to stay in the studio instead of the 2-bedroom then I will add it. Let me know and I will PM you the details.

I would love to stay there. Jessica would you be interested? Please PM the details!!

Um ... Yes!! Definitely interested and would love details.

Hello ladies!!! I hope you are all doing good today. I spent the morning trying a new recipe I found. It's for homemade funnel cakes. My kids love those things so of course I had to try it and see how it compared to those in the parks or at the fair. They were really good!!!! And pretty easy to make. I topped them with powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, and whip cream and it was delish!!!

Hey! I went back to lookie. I think I missed the whole page. I missed the picture of Ariel's Grotto, and everything. Then I was wondering, how come I'm not in the picture?:laughing::laughing: LOL!
Hmmm, you know, that's a good question! Why aren't you in that photo?? You were at that meal right??

Yeah, it was so beautiful yesterday we set up the tent in the backyard and started our first fire in our new fire pit. As we started singing the first song it started sprinkling. We decided to get in the tend and it rained all night long. I had even just watered my garden before it started raining. What a world.

Love all the planning.

Ugh, figures, huh?

We haven't been doing much this weekend because I have a flareup of shingles and have NOT been feeling well but tomorrow we will be going to mom's and hanging out. Hopefully going to see Cars 2 and then just swimming at their place and watching the fireworks from their yard.
I already said this on FB, but hope you start to feel better soon.

Beth, Thank you for your thread link on Radisson! That was great to read and exactly what I was looking for. I will keep that information in my back pocket becasue it is a really great value. For this trip, my cousins told me yesterday that we will just all squeeze into the DLH room for two nights. I'm fine with that!
Cool. Glad it worked out, and like you said, it's a good place to keep in mind as a back up sometime.

Heya Beth! I just woke up about 40 minutes ago, lol. My overnight shift was a real pain thanks to unreliable co-workers. So glad it's over!! Off to scrounge up something to eat because I am hungry!

Kelly, I was looking at part of that route you are taking just last night. I decided that after I am done at my job I want to take some time off and am planning to do a road trip on my own. Thinking about the Mt. Hood route to Bend, Crater Lake, down to Redding then over and back up the coast. Just gonna throw a sleeping bag and tent in the car and go. Might visit a friend in Klamath Falls and spend a night or two in a motel along the way. Just like the old days :hippie: except I will have my cell phone, laptop, GPS and will be driving a 2010 Legacy. ;)

Sorry if it's too "early" to bring this up, but my mind is on PhotoPass right now thanks to some recent threads! Plus I'm busy crunching numbers and planning my Half Marathon Weekend/Birthday trip right now!

Ya'll usually do a big group account/order for PhotoPass right? Well I was thinking that it could be in a lot of Diva's best interest to combine a couple of trips onto one account if you aren't particularly in a hurry to get your photos. Here's what I'm thinking:

Order #1: September-October for those of us who will be there for the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend and then in October for Halloween Time and the Halloween parties.

Order #2: January-February for those us who will be there for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon weekend and then for the big trip.

If we time it out properly it's pretty easy to do and I suppose this is my offering to organize it :thumbsup2 I've been doing this for my past couple of trips and with friends who were going within a time frame that worked to get the most out of the disc and our $$.

Anyway, just putting it out there to see if anybody else thinks it's a good idea. I love doing PhotoPass, lol.

Jodi, I just sent off an PM to you about adding the graphic to your signature. I took some time to include some screen shots to help. Hopefully I explained it simply enough. ;)

Thanks so much! I got the PM so I hope to have it up and working later tonight.

Carol, if you drive another hour and twenty minutes south you could come visit Chico. It's much nicer than Redding and I wouldn't even make you use our sleeping bag. Something to think about .

Jodi, I just might take you up on that! You can show me some of that Chico night life you have talked about! :goodvibes

Sorry your shift was such a pain. Co-workers can do that to you, especially the unreliable ones.
Good thing you aren't at my house if you are hungry. Despite spending a fortune on food not that long ago, we seem to have an empty pantry and fridge once again.

That sounds awesome!! I love adventures like that. If you do, you should write a TR. I'd love to follow along with you.

I think it's a good idea, Jess. I mean, it only makes sense. Stacie/Stacielee has organized the Photopass since the first trip, but maybe she'd be happy to pass that on to someone else. :confused3 Why not contact her and see how she feels.

I have never participated in the Photopass. I should though. I just always forget to stop and pose for photos!! lol

Carol did it for this years trip & did a good job!! I can't remember how many participated in it.

Since we're in planning mode, I thought I'd toss my two cents in about the character meal. I'd suggest the one at Paradise Pier. Wasn't impressed with storytellers for breakfast, and the PP is the cheapest, or at least it used to be. I wasn't very impressed with the character interaction at Goofy's. While I'd really love to do the Ariel's breakfast (haven't done that one yet), need to keep in mind that many will be leaving that day and some won't have DL access.

I wasn't part of the PP last year so I don't know who did it, lol. Just seems like an awesome way for everyone who is interested to get it and it works out perfectly with how the trips are all clustered side by side.

Carol - Did you want to organize it again for the Diva trip/Tinkerbell Half combo? How about for September/October?

Just got back from another True Blood party at my cousins. Now off to bed so I can get up early for work tomorrow! I actually get to sleep in an extra hour which will be nice. Haha. Here I am excited about starting work at 6a instead of 5a. If I don't get on tomorrow, Happy 4th!!

Tracey we will be in Seattle on the 21st and 22nd and then start driving the coast home on the 22nd. Do you live in the Seattle area? Is it possible you could meet up with us and Sara on the 22nd? I think that is the day she said she might be able to meet us. That would be so fun if you could!

Hi kelly,
I am in Mukilteo, just north of Seattle and about an hour south of Sarah! Would love to try to meet up. I am flying out on the 23rd to DL, bright and early. WooHoo! I guess let me know what you determine and I will do my best!

That is so funny because just a few hours ago I almost posted to throw in my vote for the PP breakfast!

Jess, I think it would be great if you want to do either or both of those! I did it last year because it was getting close to the trip and no one else had mentioned it. I didn't have plans to necessarily do it again, only if no one else wanted to.

Isn't tomorrow the 4th? It sounds like a war zone outside my house; not sure if I will ever get to sleep.

Good morning ladies!

Well had a horrible night's sleep Sat/Sun due to heartburn. Was so tired, that I didn't wake up till around 8:15, which meant pushing it to get to church on time.

Soooooo.. I suggested to Dave to just get out of town for the day and relax. We got our act together and drove to Pismo Beach for the day. Stopped in Paso Robles to pick up some deli sandwiches for our picnic on the beach. I love Paso Robles, and all of the wineries along the way. :cloud9:

Pismo was a zoo, (especially parking), but it was so nice to find a spot on the sand, read my book, people watch or whatever. And.....the weather was perfect!! :goodvibes

Left about 6:00pm and made it home about 8:15pm. Not bad. Just in time to take a shower, put a few things away and watch the Next Food Network Star. Anybody watching that? They need to can Penny/the MidEastern Mama. Her food looks good, but she is a witch. If she won, I wouldn't watch her show, just because of that.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Mel, I agree about Penny. She is very manipulative and all around not a very nice person. Have you seen Tom (can't remember his last name) from the last season's show??? He's funny. It's not really a cooking show though, more of an eating show ;)

I think the PP share is a great idea and I usually participate......... I also usually forget to stop and get very many photos :rotfl2:

I vote for a less expensive character breakfast too and the one at PP is nice. I think not having it in the park on the Sunday would be best for those leaving, so they don't have to have a ticket for the day just for brekkie (I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but you know ;))

I agree that Penny needs to go. I haven't liked her since the first episode.

I really enjoy the breakfast at PP.

Happy Independence Day! I hope you all have a wonderful day.
