Our yard sale went oh-kay this morning...we only raised $100. It was dead with the holiday weekend. This ebayer came by and was trying to talk me out of stuff for super cheap. He was making me mad - I know how much stuff sells for too and he kept offering way low. He even bought something, had his helper put in the truck and then kept saying that he paid me when he didn't. THankfully he finally gave me the money and got out of there!

What is everyone doing for Monday?

Yikes, that guy sounds like a jerk.

We aren't doing much on Monday. Ruben works which is actually good because we need the holiday pay. And since we were just gone last weekend it's fine with us to just chill at home. Red Rock hotel will set off a pretty fireworks display that we can see from the comfort of our own home so we'll just watch those.

It's too hot to go anywhere!! Right now it's 109 and climbing!!!
Anyway, have fun tonight at the pool party!

Yuck! It is 96 right now and I am miserable. We are expected to have that 100+ degree weather the next 5 days.

For....? You mean for the hunt? The meals? Sorry, I'm having a blonde moment. lol I do have one already for roommates, which gives an idea of who's going. Meal sign-ups should probably wait a bit since those plans tend to get moved around.
We could start sign-ups for the Meet and Greet. It would be good to know who's going to that so the committee has some idea of how many people to expect. That will help them figure out which location to use.

Thanks so much!! I love it, and so does my daughter. We found a white german shephard at the pound and named him Bolt, of course! We had to leave him in GA for awhile though because our rental house her does not alllow pets. Maybe we can get him someday.

Yeah, it was so beautiful yesterday we set up the tent in the backyard and started our first fire in our new fire pit. As we started singing the first song it started sprinkling. We decided to get in the tend and it rained all night long. I had even just watered my garden before it started raining. What a world.

Love all the planning.

Sara and Carol you will have to let me know how the weather is fairing in a few weeks. We leave for our trip 2 weeks from tomorrow and I am not EVEN thinking about packing yet. I know how unpredictable the weather up there can be and I know that we will prob get some rain and it can be cool so I am totally at a loss. Also we are moving to different hotels every day and no real chances to do laundry so it is going to create some MAJOR packing challenges. I am pretty confidant that the first 3 days it will be hot. Crater lake, driving through bend and into Hood river and then the day we drive up 84 into Portland. And possibly even the day we spend in Portland could be warm (if the weather that you are having now holds) but then once we head up into Seattle it is anyone's guess. It could be hot or cold. Hard to say. And esp when we head back down the coast. I have been there and had it be both ways!

I am DEF looking forward to some "nice" weather though!

We haven't been doing much this weekend because I have a flareup of shingles and have NOT been feeling well but tomorrow we will be going to mom's and hanging out. Hopefully going to see Cars 2 and then just swimming at their place and watching the fireworks from their yard.

Beth, Thank you for your thread link on Radisson! That was great to read and exactly what I was looking for. I will keep that information in my back pocket becasue it is a really great value. For this trip, my cousins told me yesterday that we will just all squeeze into the DLH room for two nights. I'm fine with that!


Kelly, when will you be on the coast? We will be at Grayland beach state park from july 10 to 17th. Let me know if you will be in the area and I will send you our sight number. It would be great to see you.

So is there anyone else interested in sharing a villa at GC? We might have as many as 11 wanting our 2-bedroom and I have a chance to add a studio. If we have 12 or 13 and a few would be willing to stay in the studio instead of the 2-bedroom then I will add it. Let me know and I will PM you the details.
