We are hoping to go in Oct as a family right before our 7 day Mexican Riveria cruise.

When is your cruise in October? I'm asking because I'm doing the 7 day on the Splendor (Carnival Cruise line) leaving on October 30th out of Long Beach.

Saturday, Feb. 25:
Group photo in the early a.m. - location TBD
Scavenger hunt in DL 9 a.m.-noon (times approximate)
Lunch: Hungry Bear after scavenger hunt
Dinner: Cafe Orleans
Fantasmic Dessert Seating

Sunday, Feb. 26:
Breakfast: anyone interested in a character meal?? Or for those who aren't, maybe meet up at Riverbelle Terrace??
Lunch: Carnation Cafe
Dinner: ??? suggestions ??? (keep in mind many will have gone home by this point)

I'd like to do the Character Breakfast on Sunday. I've never done one so I'm not sure which would be the best, but I'll be in charge of sign-ups for that meal.

I can also make a reservation for Cafe Orleans for Saturday night.

I'm not sure what time the dinner will be on Friday night but my mom and I aren't getting there until probably 8:00pm so I think we'll miss that one.

Good morning, ladies!

Today is going to be one of "those" days for me. All four kids have a dentist appt, then I have to take my in-laws to the bus because they are going back home today, then run to the grocery store (how is that possible when a week ago I spent almost $300 on food!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!), and finally pick up Ruben from work since I kept the van today.
Aren't you one of those moms who "doesn't work"? :lmao:

Character breakfast sounds fun - we haven't had one the past couple of years so it's time! I will definitely be heading to Riverbelle Terrace first thing in the morning at least once - it's my favorite breakfast in the world!

Another place that has AMAZING breakfast is Carnation Cafe although it IS small so a little tough to get a lot of people into. But it is just a thought cuz they do have GREAT food! I personally like it better than Riverbelle. :)

Maybe Sunday night we could try Trader Sam's. Since we will be a smaller group? And do we want to try SH55 in the mix one night? I would prefer F! on Friday night rather than Sat. Just cause Sat is early entry, the SH (which is exhausting) and it might be too much for me to do the F! show on top of such a busy day. Also bear in mind, the BBQ is all you can eat and everyone at my table stuffed themselves and didn't eat much for dinner that night. More of a snack. I am good with whatever the group decides, just putting my 2 cents in. :)

I'm keeping this short since I'm posting from my iPhone - I'll give my input on the meals when I get home from work. Just wanted to say goodmorning and wish everyone a happy Thursday!

Jodi, was it you who asked about a signature? I am always open to doing them. Just let me know if there are any characters in particular you would like used, colors, font type if you can think of one. I can make one tonight when I'm home and don't worry, I can walk you through it - with screen shots if you'd like, kind of like I did with the multi-quoting.

If anybody else would like one (or a new one) just let me know.

Bonjour! J'espère que vous avez un moment de plaisir. :)
Thanks for offering to make the Fantasmic dessert reservations! I will take care of the sign-ups and just give you the final list.
So, to be clear, are you saying you can make every single dining reservation?? If so, that would be awesome!!!! .

Merci beaucoup! J'aime adore Paris! (And that is the extent of my French!)

Yes - I will do all the ressies. I will get all the information to vacation planning - I use them most every trip and have developed a great relationship with one particular CM. I think it will be easier if all our plans are done together.

Au revoir!

I have to say, I have honestly never eaten at Carnation Cafe. Crazy, right?

I really like this idea!! To date the only Character Breakfasts I have not done are Mickey's Surfs Up at the PPH and Storytellers at the GCH. My personal favorite is Goofy's Kitchen at the DLH but for those who wont have MM and don't mind an early breakfast you can do the Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park during MM without actually having access to it. I hate losing morning Park time to eat which is why I usually don't do breakfast while I'm there (that and I'm not a breakfast eater to begin with - it usually makes me feel a bit sluggish) but the option to take some kind of advantage of MM without actually having MM is something I love to do. That's my suggestion, although I know we have a lot of Divas staying on-site who might want to use their MM.

Also we should plan another group photo op for Sunday. In my opinion, the group photos which show how big our group really is, are the best and most fun to take!! We take one at the Meet and Greet, we have the PFF one on Friday, and the main group one on Sat, but we should do another on Sunday. Just my thought.

How about doing a group shot in front of ROA with PLOTSI in the background?

Beth, What Linda said is so true about not wanting very much to eat after the BBQ. So how's about Friday be our Fantasmic night, and Saturday be our Napa and Jazz Kitchen night?

Just a thought!

I'm in for all the lunches (except probably Sunday), Jazz Kitchen on Friday or Saturday, and I'll probably join the camping out for F! group this year :thumbsup2

Depending on what time my flight leaves, I would love to do a character breakfast on Sunday.

...... and I'm determined to get a big ol' Duffy this time!!

Birthday drinks would be fun some time too - I know there are several Divas with b-days during this time frame.................

Great! I think we'll add a character breakfast for Sunday then. Especially with the new ladies we have, I think there will be enough interest to get at least a small group together for that.
I've only done the Storyteller's one and the Surf's Up one, but I really liked the Surf's Up. I won't be there for it as I'll either be leaving Sat morning, or early Sun morning, but I think it's a good idea.

I agree!

It is small. That's the only downside. Makes it really hard to plan meals there and since we already have it as a group meal one day, maybe we should just leave it at that. :confused3

Thanks for the input, Linda. I appreciate it. Having never been to the BBQ I wasn't aware just how much food is offered, so that's good to know.

I personally would pass on SH55 since I'm not much of a meat eater. lol But I'd still love to walk down to Trader Sam's one night.

Awesome!! Thanks so much, Bridget! That will make it so much easier. Don't suppose your contact can reserve the entire Carnation Cafe for us?? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Trudi! Hi. Did the slow boat from China arrive yet?? And how are you feeling after your fall?

Just so you, and everyone else knows, we aren't taking sign-ups for meals just yet. First, I'd like to get the places we want to eat actually set in the schedule with times and days so that way everyone knows exactly what they'll be around to sign-up for. If that makes sense.....

Sounds good. This is why I wanted everyone (or as many as are around and posting! lol) to share their thoughts. Together we can make the schedule work for everyone, or at least come as close to it as possible. :thumbsup2

Yep, yep! Can't forget the birthdays!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Darn Trader Sam's for being such a fun place to chill, and then only having room for 40 people maximum. Who's genius idea what that??

I would love to go there...... but I'd be happy with any of them ;) Can you believe I've never been to Cove Bar or Napa Lounge either??? Who the heck am I going to Disneyland with :confused3

OKay, here is a quick revision based on what was posted by Linda, Sarah, Mel, etc.

I think we can all agree Thursday is pretty much set. After all, with various arrival times, and the Meet and Greet, there's not much wiggle room there. So that's one day set. :thumbsup2

Thursday, Feb. 23:
Arrivals at various times throughout the day.
Group lunch at new Paradise Garden restaurant area in DCA
Meet and Greet in the evening

Friday, Feb. 24:
Group photo at Princess Fantasy Faire in the a.m.
Lunch: Big Thunder Ranch BBQ
Dinner: Cafe Orleans (if we're still full from the BBQ, we can always share a sandwich, get soup, snack on pomme frites, or just get beignets. Lots of options to choose from)
Fantasmic Dessert Seating

Saturday, Feb. 25:
Group photo in the early a.m. - location TBD
Scavenger hunt in DL 9 a.m.-noon (times approximate)
Lunch: Hungry Bear after scavenger hunt
Dinner: Napa Rose/Jazz Kitchen (each person signs up for which ever one they prefer)

Sunday, Feb. 26:
Breakfast: Character meal (which one TBD)
Group photo either after breakfast or before lunch??
Lunch: Carnation Cafe
Dinner: Suggestions? Maybe everyone on their own?? (keep in mind many will have gone home by this point, so maybe the few who are left can meet up at a counter service spot that won't require reservations)
Trader Sam's after dinner?

Monday, Feb. 27:
Last official day
Breakfast: Perhaps those still in the parks can plan to meet at Riverbelle Terrace this morning?

Jess, I wasn't ignoring your post earlier about the group photo location for Sunday, I just don't know what "ROA with PLOTSI" means. :lmao:

ROA is rivers of America, but what is the other?? Something about Tom Sawyer's Island?
