Hi Sarah!!
Good to know that's a funny movie. It looked good, but sometimes they are over the top and silly, ya know?

I was LOLing the whole time!

I haven't heard either way yet.

Dave won for Sunday, May 29th from 4-8. The best part is that the prize includes block out tickets and we will get to go to the parks that day instead of just hanging out at the hotel & hitting up the new Tangaroa Terrace that night!

And, in a twist of fate I won twice--both for Tuesday, May 31st but once for the morning/early afternoon and once for the afternoon/evening time slot. They came to two different email addresses so I'm not sure if we can use both or not, but I will definitely try!

Now, I just need all of you to keep your fingers crossed in hoping that Ty will have grown enough to be able to meet the height requirement! He was about a half inch off in March and I think we're close, but it's going to be tight.

May 31st 4-8. That was the only day we were available to go so I really didn't think we'd get it.

Anyone else?

Go out and find some TALL shoes for him!

Go out and find some TALL shoes for him!

I have been trying to do just that with no luck! Skechers actually makes ones for girls called "Pretty Talls" that are a wedge heel sneaker. But, for boys there is no equivalent that I have found, at least not yet.

You may not like my opinion, but I don't think it's a big deal. The kids are still getting most of the activities in one form or another and in reality, if the school is making changes, 1 year of students is going to get the short end of the stick and unfortunately it happened to effect one of your kids.

My belief is that there is always going to be change in life, both good and bad, and kids need to learn this and understand what disappointment is.

In the greater scheme of life, it's not a big deal and not worth stressing over IMO.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well school budgets are getting tighter & tighter. As long as you have the graduation that really counts, well then you just tough it out and go on. They are skipping 5th grade graduation with year, sad but what can you do?I could complain about it, but that wouldn't change the districts decision.

I won the preview for Monday the 23rd in the morning!

Hi to all. I usually don't write to much on the boards, but I read plenty :). Keeps me off the streets ya know LOL.

Actually we just got back from DL late Tuesday evening. We were there 6 days/5 nights. We = Me, my husband, my daughter her husband and two grand kids. We got lucky and have one girl and one boy. Taking the grand kids to see Disneyland can now be crossed off my bucket list.

I know I did not mention this trip on the Dis. Not sure why. I know I wanted to focus on the kids. I did need to rest lots. Will be so glad once I get back on the transplant list. Due to medical issues I was on the list but inactive good thing is I still gained wait time. (I know I am top of list once a kidney with my markers becomes available). I doubt if I can go to Diva's at Disney in Feb without getting transplant. I just get to tired. I am sure old age has a little to do with being tired too.

We flew out of PDX 6:40 am Thursday 5th of May. This time was the daughters Idea. Never again--it wears me out I like to arrive night before and then get a good rest. Flight was on time. I made reservations with Blue shuttle for husband to go to Disneyland Hotel via handicapped van. I rented a car for the other 5 of us but had son-in-law drive. We used the phone GPS for directions to hotel.

Our rooms were ready at 10 am. New rooms in the Dreams tower. I was very glad they were able to get us connecting rooms. Grandkids loved waking us up each morning. Mommy and Daddy went out each night and we watched the kids. Lils would fall asleep in my bed and Austen would climb up in husbands hospital bed and fall asleep. The kids want to move to disneyland and live at the Disneyland Hotel.

We had to enter Dreams tower via the "back lobby" as they are working on the main lobby. It was ok but did make for a bit longer walker at end of day. There is still lots of construction happening. We were not overly bothered by the construction. The pool was open, OK only half the pool was open. Now really how much pool area do you need to splash around. Staff at pool was very nice to the kids.

Walk to the registration tower -- goofy's reataurant is there to-- was or seemed very long. Big blue walls every where. Not very attractive. Over all, even with construction it was all good.

DCA had the same decorator as the walk ways at Disneyland Hotel. Same blue walls every where. We never said a thing in front of kids. They will only see a difference on their next trip as this was the first trip for both. At the end of the Day kids had a great time and that is what it is all about :). I did get to eat my fav meal at DCA Shrimp Louie from wharf area. I was a happy camper for sure.

I was so unhappy that the kids did not get to go to Tom Sawyers Island. That week it was part of the Pirates Premiere. There was so much closed on count of that -- seems so not right for those of us that spent a fortune for trip to the Magical land of Walt. I wonder if he would have thought it ok to close so much down, close early, and make getting from one area to another very difficult because of this special event. I do think he would have handled it different. But then again the kids think that is the way Disneyland is --- boy are they going to be surprised when they go again.

The 7 year old loved the coaster rides-- space mountain was/is his favorite. He even rode the TOT. I wont even ride that one. He did say never again, but we do have a picture to show he did it once. He was even smiling. Mommy told him to to keep smiling and bless his heart he did :).

Now the 4 year old loved the Merry Go Round. Loved Loved Loved the horses. But to my amazement she rode space mountain 3 times then decied it might be to dark for her. She said she never did get her tummy back -lol. She loved the Matterhorn. Lilly rode that 5 or 6 times. I was/am surprised her mom and dad let her ride Matterhorn. I get so worried with coaster rides and little ones.

Both of the kids thought Big Thunder RailRoad was the cat's meow. I can see it now my daughter is rasing coaster riders. What happened to having them do the fantasy rides and shows?

We did see Aladdin show. I am so happy we were able to see this wonderful show again. Both kids would sit up straight as could be so as not to miss anything. I even saw a jaw drop a few times. Such a wonderful show for sure.

I explained that the Bugs Life Show was not real bugs. They knew the bugs leaving was just puffs of air and that spiders that drop from ceiling were not real. There was no crying but Lilly said once was enough.

I did not go see WOC Kids did but it was so cold that night I thought I will see later. Krista said there were to many people that moved right in front of the kids so made show very hard to see. They had fast passes.

If you stay at a Disney Hotel you are able to go between 9:00 and and 9:30 am and you are handed a fast pass for show by two people at the oepning to GC DCA entrance. No need to go to machines this way. You have to have room key and ticket for as many fast passes as you request. I took all keys and tickets and had Fast Pass for all of us in no time.

We had soup at Rainforest two times. They have great tasting Clam Chowder. I got it to go once, wish I had some now-- ya I was thinking of food :). I think it was better then What you get at wharf restaurant.

Well more later. I will see if daughter will help me post a few pictures. I hope we got a few of the construction at DCA, DL, and Hotel. We were there over Bats day. I think I have a few pictures of that to. Warning****** I am going to post more later. :)

Patty

Patty, sounds like a fantastic DL trip ! Hope all goes well with your health so you can join us next year !:goodvibes

Wendy I am sorry you had a tough time on your race :( Hope you are feeling better!

Congrats to all those who won the ST tours previews. I am so anxious to check it out when we go next month. I will be anxious to hear what you all think and which movie you got to see. I have heard there are several versions. I am just trying to figure out what the best strategy is going to be to actually get to RIDE these things. I am hoping that ST will be open during early entry or that we will be able to get a FP or something and then trying to figure out how to do LM since we ALSO need to get a WOC FP. I am hoping that since we are staying onsight that we might be able to get in a bit before normal park opening and get that done first and then line up for LM. I have heard on here that they let hotel guests in a bit before everyone else for the FP's so I am hoping that is true. We decided against the picnics or the meal to save money and are taking our chances but we also don't want to have to wait in a 4 hour line LOL. So it is going to be interesting trying to see and do everything. I also wanted to see that memories show but it sounds like it has kind of fizzled out and I don't even know if it will still be going on when we go. I am hoping that Electronica will be going but that too sounds like it may just be on weekends and we won't be there during the weekend cuz our passes are blacked out so not too sure.

Needless to say I will be very interested to hear from those of you who are going soon about the new rides and/or parade! Very exciting!! :)

Hope everyone has a good day!

Well I never got en email saying yes or no for the Star Wars preview...I'm pretty sure I entered but maybe I didn't. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone! I haven't stopped in lately and I missed a lot but just wanted to say HI! Hope everyone is well!
