Uber Questions...

I was calculating a total cost for both trips. To the grocery store and then to the resort. That will cost more than a single trip. Add in surge pricing and you easily get to the price I mentioned.
Got it, thanks. I thought it was just for one trip.

Gas prices have gone up a dollar per gallon in the last month. Ride prices will increase. CNN reports numerous Uber drivers quitting which will effect the prices. Below is a request tonight MCO to All Stars Music.

OP, make sure you have Location Services turned on under Settings in your phone. It's on by default but sometimes people turn it off for privacy. You can choose which apps are allowed to use your location. Uber would require you to show your location. It helps the driver find you and you can see in the app where your driver is.
That is, unless it's 2:00am and you're standing outside the airport in Madison, WI because your flight to Milwaukee was cancelled due to massive thunderstorms along the east coast but you paid a fortune for concert tickets so you have to get there somehow so you settle for flying to Madison and that's also several hours late. In that case, it would appear that your driver is stuck in a cornfield 10 miles away, even though he's almost there. :thumbsup2 That was the only time I didn't have good tracking of our driver. :rotfl:

Uber/Lyft will tell you the license plate number of the vehicle which is coming for you. Always check the license plate number before getting into the vehicle. It might feel like a pain in the neck if you are in a State which only has license plates on the back of the vehicles and you have to walk around the car to see it, but you do not want to get in the wrong car.

When you get in the car, the driver should say your name, to confirm that you are the correct passenger.

As PP said, you should request the vehicle when you are at the curb and ready to ride. If you request it early and are not there when the driver arrives, you will be charged a cancellation fee.

You can tip the driver in the app if you like.

Just wanted to add onto this for Uber, the driver will ask you for your 4-digit PIN code. It will be displayed in your app once your ride is confirmed. Your driver will enter your PIN in his/her app before driving.
