"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

I have an eye doctor appt late today. First time I've been to one in about 5 or 6 years. I didn't realize it had been that long. But I am having pressure and pain in my left eye, and so I was trying to think of the last time I had an eye exam and was shocked to realize just how long ago it was!
Now I am dreading going because I am worried something is really wrong.

I hate doctors (of any sort) and dentists. Well, mainly I hate the stress and worry that comes along with such appointments. And the bills, too.
Oh well......

Sorry you are feeling blue. I hate it when that happens. I remember living in MI and feeling the same way. There were times when I felt I couldn't stand the snow and cold another second and wanted to escape to anywhere sunny and warm. I'd sit at the computer and search for all sorts of beach photos. Beach porn I'd call it. lol

Hang in there. Hope the blues go away soon!

I have not resorted to beach porn yet, but I am sitting here listening to beach music...Jimmy Buffet & The beach boys I am hoping it helps...It is way too early in the day for umbrella drinks!

My kids don't have Spring Break until the END of next month. Ugh.

But that's when spring break should be, lined up with Easter. Remember when it was called Easter vacation? I don't know if our schools celebrate it anymore.

I'm so excited - got my new laptop and had to decorate it up a bit:

Theresa- so cute! Love the decal I had one on mine that was a navy blue glittery sheet that I purchased from a decal cart. I cut it so it fit my laptop. Then I had a decal made of Domo and stuck Mickey ears on his head but it peeled off. I bought the decal from WOD in DTD last year that is gray and has Mickey on it and just stuck that on it.

Theresa, love the sticker on your laptop. My cousin pointed one out to me a while ago that I fell in love with. This isn't a photo of my laptop, but this is what it looks like:

Afternoon gals!

Sherrie ((hugs)) I SO know what you are going through. I lived in Seattle for 3 years and after having lived in CA most of my life it was a HUGE difference getting used to the cold, grey and rain. I thought I could handle it but also when we moved up there we had a real hard times with jobs and had a BUNCH of bad luck the first year we were there so I got in a REAL funk and it was tough. By the end I had gotten used to it and was really loving it and go figure I got divorced and had to move back here LOL.

It has kind of been that way here the last few weeks. We don't usually have bad weather here this late into the year so I totally feel your pain. Granted we don't have that snow that you do but we have been having HORRIBLE storms with terrible winds and massive rain so I am more than ready to see the sun again. I hope that you start feeling better and that your horse has her baby soon!!

Beth I feel ya on the eye doctor. I had lasik surgery before I had shelby and then had some complications and had to go back a bunch of times while I was pg but then once I had her all the problems ended and I have not been back since. She is almost 10 so it has been THAT long since I have been to the eye doctor!! My eyes are getting REALLY bad too! They told me I would need bifocals by 40 but the little cheaters I bought at the store are not good enough and I think I need regular glasses. BLEH! I hope that there is nothing wrong with you and hopefully it is just sinus pain or something not serious! I know I get a lot of pain and pressure behind my eyes with allergies and such so I hope that is all it is!!

After seeing the easter thread I got encouraged and stopped by Target after work today but I was NOT impressed. At least ours didn't have that much fun stuff at all which is prob good since we are short on money so I just got the girls a few things and a couple books and that was about it. But at least that is done so one less thing to worry about! And I spend about a third of what I usually spend so that is good since we have soccer registration in 2 weeks! UGH! Always something I tell you!

Anyway have a good rest of your day all!

I think that Platapus is so cute. That is the only cartoon I watch with grandson. I am going to see if I can figure out how to put a siggie at the end of my posts. Seems like all the younger people -- don't want to call them kids-- can figure how to do computer "STUFF". I will most likely need to take a class for signature postings.



Need to do my drive-by wave for day.

Hi Ladies! I'm back from a wonderful week at WDW. The weather was perfect, mid 80's with a light breeze and no humidity. Shorts and flip flops every day.
It was flower and garden festival time at Epcot and the topiaries were very cute. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

Hope the Divas that are going this week have a great time.

So they got the guy that hit and killed my cousin:

Patrick Shea Magann, 23, of Warrenton, Ore., was charged Tuesday with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit-and-run, assault with a deadly weapon, evading, driving under the influence and attempted auto theft, court records show. He also is facing enhancements for fleeing the scene of a crime and causing great bodily injury during the commission of a felony as well as several misdemeanors.

I'll be interested to see how it turns out for this guy.

Beach porn... Jimmy Buffett...Margaritas - feeling better already!!! We are actually doing a company picnic for a large corporation (about 1000 people) as a Jimmy Buffett/Pirates in Paradise theme complete with cheeseburgers and margaritas!!!

Wendy I'm so glad they caught him.....did this happen in Oregon??? Warrenton is near Astoria on the North Coast. We've been hearing about a lot of hit & runs near Portland lately (actually almost weekly it seems.....so sad someone would do that).

Praying the judicial system does it job.

100 pages and it hasn't even been a month since the trip Wow! I am here for a quick hello! After going throug 4 modems last week, they finally gave up on Thursday and said they would send a repairman on Sunday. Going that long without internet is so frustrating. It turns out that the modem was never the problem, it was a wire outside that was not up to handling the speed of our internet. Thankfully we are getting a 1 week credit on our bill for all the trouble. Grrr....

Anyways, we are having friends over for dinner tonight so I will be back later to catch up!

Beth you are so right. I just haven't been in so long I don't know if it is covered anymore under my health ins or I am on my own I guess I need to investigate that! How'd your apt go? Good I hope and nothing serious!

I had to get my easter shopping done cuz as I said we have soccer reg on April 10th and that is ANOTHER prob 200 or 300 bucks. We just had to spend 400 for swim in Jan and now this. We have the normal 90/a piece for each girl and then each of them have to buy new uniforms because they would have needed them anyway this year but our league is requiring everyone get new ones so they all conform since they haven't made them do it in years and there were way too many versions out there. I am just glad that we hadn't bought ones just last year like some people. We had had ours for 4 years so we were due but it just sucks that it hits on a year when we are having money issues AND a year when we have to buy new suits for swim. Figures LOL.

The swim suits are 100/each and we have to buy THOSE in a few weeks as well and then Shelby's birthday is 3 days after easter although we aren't going to be able to do a party for her this year but we had promised to get her a new bike. She has a really old kiddie bike that she is WAY too big for and it is all beat up. Katy has Lynn's old one and she really needs a new one but I am still debating if we are going to be able to swing it. I priced them out and the cheapest one I could find was like 150. OUCH! So not sure if that is going to happen but that is why I wanted to get their easter stuff NOW so I could spread it out a bit. Just SO much ya know! I know I don't have to tell you though!

Jen let me guess do you have AT&T internet?? We had the EXACT same problem. They kept saying it was on our end and we bought a new modem ONLY to find out it was a problem with their box. Plus I don't know if you know (if you have AT&T) but they are now putting a cap on usage and you can only get 150 megabytes a month which really isn't that much if you have your computer on all the time and get atuoupdates and such. And for us we have netflix that streams through our computer which we are going to have to get rid of and on and on. I am so bummed but all the other internet companies are double AT&T and even comcast is putting a cap on theirs. It is a ripoff that's for sure.

Anyway we just got back from piano and I am exhausted. Been a long day and I can't help thinking my day will only be half over this time next week LOL. We love our swim friends and the girls love swim but MAN I am not looking forward to the practices again LOL.

Anywho I am off to try to rustle up some dinner. Have a great evening everyone!
