I am soooo sleepy. That's what I get for staying up to watch The Bachelor and then the After the Rose show.

Today I have plans to meet with Chris/Califgirl for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I can't wait to see her again.

Oh yeah, I should probably share what I came in here to share! We added some new color to my hair today. It's a pretty dark shade of teal, but there is officially teal in my hair!! She got it a little further back than intended so we'll do a little more next time and I think Ill be OK with going a lighter/brighter shade to boot.

Pooey that it's not the best focused photo. But I'm thrilled.

Cute and fun! Go brighter next time I really like how you don't have any back fat. Now those were the days....

Beth, what did you think of the Bachelor? I really never watch that show and so got hooked this year on it, I loved who he chose, except I thought the after show was a little odd. Have fun at lunch! love the Cheese Cake Factory.

Time change is kicking my butt, I am so tired! Although it was so nice to be able to walk the dog last night in the daylight and not the dark, was able to walk longer

Morning or early afternoon everyone. Just got done volunteering at the girls school. WHEW! I was in charge of handing out waters to the 150 kids and then I was helping the other moms bag up and serve the popcorn. That was a lot of work LOL. I think the kids had a fun time though. They let them bring pillows and blankets or stuffies from home and they watched cloudy with a chance of meatballs. I still haven't seen that one.

Anyway also got in some nice visiting time with some of the other mom's so it was fun.

Gosh so jealous of everyone who is going on trips. I just looked on Southwest this morning just to "see" what airfares are looking at for Oct and holy cow!!! I used to be able to fly one way to orange county for as cheap as 39 but usually about 59 when they had specials but it is 120 one way!! EEK!!! Mom and I were going to split the tix and I was going to buy mine and 1 of the girls and she was going to buy her's and the other girl's but MAN that is a lot. Plus both mine and the girls AP's expire in June and either way whether I renew my pass and just get them hoppers or renew them all that is going to be a huge chunk of change so now I am getting nervous about it. I am hoping things will change in a few months and this bad spell won't last but dang!

The prices of things are just getting nuts. I don't know what you all are paying for gas but it finally has hit 4.00 a gallon where I am at. OUCH!

Well here is hoping it all still works out!!

I am off to rustle up some grub and watch my tivo of the event. Looking forward to biggest loser tonight and glee!!

He, hey, everyone. Kind of 'out of it' this morning. Not a good night. I hate anxiety for no real reason whatsoever. Today is NOT exciting. I'm doing my taxes right now (whew, not as bad as I feared but I really need to change my withholding so I don't owe next year) and then I've got classes. Hopefully I can squeeze a run in there somewhere!

Wow, I haven't been able to keep up with this thread at all!!

First off, I LOVE all the pretty siggies! They really help me keep track of everyone.

Second, I also LOVE all the pics on Shutterfly of the trip. I'm sorry that I missed the photos on the stairs at NOS. (Is that place called the Court of Angels?) Anyway, that is a great photo spot!

Oh, so your probably not too far from me then if you are at Red Rock often.

We have signed up on a couple websites that offer discounts and free tickets for Vegas locals. One was free, the other was around $90 to join, but using it we've seen many shows for free. Le Reve, Lion King, Blue Man Group, Divas, and a ton of other smaller venue shows such as some of the comedies and magic shows. With only one income for a family of 6 it's been the only way we are able to do so much. If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll let you know how to sign up for some of these things. Might as well take advantage of being local!

What show does your DH work on? That must be a fun job! My DH works at UMC. Not the best employer, but it's work. lol

We like it here ok. I mean, it's fun, and there's no shortage of places to go to shop, eat, etc. But I miss the greenery and water! I get sick of living in "taupeville" sometimes.
We'll be here until my older kids graduate from high school which will be in 2014 then we are planning to move to WA state.

Do you have any family here at all? My husbands family is in CA and mine is all in MI, so we have no one here at all. Just us.

I'm off the 95 and Durango so it's not too far from red rock at all really just hop on the 215.
My DH works for a local company that is contracted by most of the casinos so he really works all over. He does mostly concerts and convention but sometimes gets in on a few local show here and there. It's a fun job but just stinks because of his hours they are never the same.
WA state will be nice, I know what you mean about missing greenery!!
I have no family here at all my immediate family all now live in the Irvine CA area and the rest of my family is still in MA. DH has some family here his mom (who actually lives with us haha) and some cousins, the rest are in CA too.

Love your hair! I wish I could do fun things with my hair but my work is super strict on appearance standards our hair has to have "natural" colors so i can't do it!!
