well i told most of you when i left the BBQ that i was going to sign up on the Dis Boards... so no longer am i Wendy's sister (wendypooh22)

as you can tell I have my own sign on...

so here i am TTLee

it was great seeing you all again and i had a blast..
look forward to talking with you all on the boards.. once i figure out how it all works

The meet n greet party location was awesome! Great fit with our group and food and all I didn't stay there so I have no idea how the girls liked the rooms. Hopefully others will chime in on that.

Ok, I want a sparkly name....how do I do that?
(and I need sparkly for dummies directions ok?)

The hotel was great. A very easy walk and a nice continental breakfast. I've actually recommended the hotel to a friend of mine that is going in May. I would definately stay there again.

OK, so I'm getting started on making the glitter names. Between the PM's I got and what I saw posted I have (with notes on colors/characters requested):

Cheryl/toocherie: Stitch, lime green, royal blue
Beth/mommau4:
Tracey/QueenDoOver: Tink
Vicki/bsbgrl23: Dopey, dark blue, purple
Bridget/sierranevada: Classic Mickey, purple
Kate/MamaKate:
Carol/karylrocks: Lilo or Stitch
Michelle/Zoemakes5: Winnie the Pooh, rainbow colors
Mel/tinkermell: Bright pink purple

If I missed anyone let me know I'll probably be PM'ing them to you when I'm done.

I think Bridget also mentioned she would like to be on the committee and I believe Melody has already asked Katie. (Not sure if she had accepted.)

I think more than five would be too much IMO. I know that Melody had some ideas for the hunt questions next year already so who gets chosen to be on the committee will probably depend on what "talents" are needed!

I agree that 5 would be too many. Also I'm interested in doing questions this year. If someone would like to do the gift bags that's fine with me. That would be good for someone who does not live close enough to DL to meet up for a few question searching meets.

As for the present, I know it is vague. Here's an idea --kinda taking off on the exchange idea--what if the ladies who are participating (which I think are most) get their names drawn and each lady knows WHO they are buying for? That way they have a better chance of picking something the recipient might really appreciate rather than a random gift. Of course, we wouldn't have the "joy" of stealing each other's bags but it might be fun to do to change things up for one year.



Yup.

The only thing about picking names is that sometimes people end up not coming at the last minute. Then what would happen? Someone would not get a gift and someone would not have their person to give a gift to. Is there a M&G committee yet? Usually they get to have the fun of announcing the theme and the exchange item. Just curious.

So glad you decided to join us on the thread. Wasn't the BBQ tasty?

As far as the SH committee, I would say four is ideal. Bree only became a fifth because she was with me the two weekends I went into the parks with Cheryl and Mel to work on questions. She would have had to either not play or would have been exposed to the questions. So she became a fifth member. I can't even tell you how much time and effort Cheryl put into it each year. She's a phenom. And a fifth might be good in case one person can't make the trip and you actually end up with four.

I want a jello shot now!

I agree that the M&G committee gets to choose the theme, and the birthday party idea is just a suggestion. I am sure there are a lot of other good ideas out there, and lots of time to decide. IF we do the birthday gift, what if we just make it that you wrap it as you would a birthday gift, and it can be something Disney themed or just a game, toy, or puzzle? I miss getting toys for my birthday!

Just a quick drive by hello, I'm trying to update my TR too. My Dad had such a great time. He even said Ayden could hang with them next year so I could go on the Diva trip! We'll see if that ever happens though.

Whoa!!! This thread has really taken off. I feel behind already. I had a great time last weekend. It was great to meet everyone. I had a blast with all of you.

To my roomies (Jen, Carol and Marie) thanks for making me feel so welcome and comfortable.

To my SH team members (Bridget, Vicki2, Lisa) thanks for working hard in the hot sun. I'm still in shock that we came in 3rd. It was so much fun. I still think 1943 was a good guess.....made sense to me

To the M&G Committee - You did such a great job with the theme and food. It's an event not to be missed. Next time I will have to partake in some of those Jello shots.

To the SH Committee - All I can say is you did your job and did it well - I was stumped on some of the questions (or maybe alot of the questions ).

To the "Villa Girls" - Thanks so much for the great view for World of Color. I loved it!!!

I am totally excited about next year's trip. Next year's weekend actually should work better for me so I hope that I can get there earlier and stay longer. I hated missing out on the fun.

There are lots of fun themes. I like the unbirthday idea, but it's true there are other fun ideas too. Here are some previously discussed in past threads:

My only problem if I do end up on the SH committee would be that I'm a 6 hour drive away, lol. Might be a bit challenging for getting together to run through stuff although I definitely don't mind coming down for a couple of days
