Good morning everyone!!! Zoe turns 9 today (changing my signature today!) and it's her "golden" birthday and she's spending the day at Disneyland with her Dad and a surprise addition of grandpa. She's in 7th heaven and will be a very spoiled girl today!

I'd love to plan a mini-meet where families/children are welcome.

I love the idea of the double decker bus for the ride next year!!

And I got to thinking that I was having a hard time putting faces to names so I thought since I didn't go on this last trip I would introduce myself to the newer divas.

My name is Kelly and I have been on this thread since right after the first trip in 08. My mom and I went in the trips in 09 and 10.

I am 43 (44 in June) and I am married 12 years to my dh Shane and we have 2 bio daughters Katy 11 and Shelby 9 (10 next month). Dh also has 3 other kids from previous relationships. I work part time as a book keeper in my families real estate company and we live near Sacramento.

My dh was in the Army for 14 years and did a tour in Iraq back in 2003 and he is now a Tile Setter.

I absolutely LOVE all things Disney and have been to DL more times than I can count and to DW 4 times with my last trip being Nov of 10.

Think that is the basics about me.

Anyway looking forward to meeting all the new gals and of course seeing all my old buds from before!!

By the way was talking to mom today and since we had to cancel our summer trip she thinks we def need to do a short weekend in Oct and I know a lot of the divas usually go in Oct for the halloween parties so I am DEF up for a mini meet then!! Just putting that out there as a side meet idea!!

Anywho have a GREAT day ladies and here's to more planning!!

I have been "deep cleaning" my kitchen ALL. DAY. today. The new stove got delivered around 9 this morning. It is a thing of beauty. LOL So, when they pulled the old stove out, I had to REALLY clean back there. It wasn't even very dirty, I was impressed considering the stove hadn't been pulled out in over 5 years! So after that was all done, I steamed the kitchen floor (LOVE my Shark steamer!) and really cleaned around the baseboards and all. Now I'm tired and achy. Again. LOL

And I wouldn't mind being on the Scavvy hunt committee.

What do we want to exchange next year at the Unbirthday Party? Hmmmmm.....

What kind of kitchen flooring do you have? I have ceramic tile and keeping it clean is a pain. I've been thinking about getting a steam cleaner. Do they work good without much effort? If so that's what I'll be getting.

YES!! I love that. We could take over that one and if that wasn't enough seating we could take over the horse drawn one or the old car as well. And we'd need someone (a cast member maybe) to stand on the sidewalk and video tape/take pics of us going down Main Street. How fun that would be!

We'd need a CM on both sides of the street to get pictures of everyone.
We could all wear our tiaras and everyone would think we are the new Disney princesses.

My shark steam cleaner just broke last week after being well-used and loved for the past 5 years. It worked excellent on tile, stained concrete and even my hardwood floors. I'm hoping I can get another one soon because nothing cleaned my floors as well as that thing.

I love Disneyland in October/Halloweentime! No surprises there, right? lol I just wish it wasn't so darn crowded.

Ooooh, good question. I love the exchanges. We always do a Halloween and Christmas stocking exchange through the mail that I host and they are so fun!!
I was thinking of hosting a summer time exchange too..........not sure if there is enough interest though.

**OKay, so I noticed with Cheryl, Linda and Bree stepping down from the scavenger hunt committee that we have had a couple others express interest. We will miss them very much by the way, they did an amazing job and really made everyone work (in a good way) for those answers.

Reading back I've seen posts from Jessica, Michelle, and Lisa expressing interest in being on the scavenger hunt committee.
(Heather mentioned it sounded fun, but I'm not sure if she was truly interested or merely commenting.)

We have Melody and Trudi who are previous members of the hunt team and will be remaining on the team. If we added those who've already expressed interest to the current members Mel and Trudi, that will make a team of 5.

So my question is to those of you who've been on the team before, what is a good number to have on the team? 5, like last time? More? Less? Does it matter how many, as in the more the better? Or would it become an issue of "too many cooks in the kitchen", if you know what I mean?

I think more than five would be too much IMO. I know that Melody had some ideas for the hunt questions next year already so who gets chosen to be on the committee will probably depend on what "talents" are needed!

I believe I met you back last summer at the Jelly Belly factory with Laurie. Or am I thinking of someone else?

I've been trying to plan out an October trip with my cousin this year, but we're looking to go. It sure would be awesome if it coincided with a mini meet. But I do know that there are a few of us who will be there over Labor Day weekend for the Half marathon stuff. I'm looking forward to that for sure.

I love the idea too!! I think it's great. And it would be so fun to set up and decorate for.

I'm just wondering what the "birthday present" would be though? I mean to just say birthday present is a bit vague, kwim? You never know what you might end up with.........especially coming from me. Not everyone truly appreciates a pair of fuzzy handcuffs.
Would we set some sort of theme? Or just have it include anything and everything?
