Just woke up. Normally after my overnight shifts I think I sleep until about 10:30a and no later so it's pretty darn funny to look at my clock right now where it says I slept until about 11:30a. I got all excited for a second and then I remembered that we moved forward an hour. Phooey. At least it means I'm 1 hour closer to getting my hair all prettified.

Too funny we slept through church and woke up at 1130am too felt weird for that instant before you remember!

I love the chocolate/pink/agua shirt color ideas!

Jessica, thank you for the info on qouting and posting, I will test it out in the next day or so. Great screen shots, and so easy to follow!

Your welcome! I really hope it helps :goodvibes

Sigh. So my cousin can't do my hair today after all but we're going to shoot for tomorrow instead. What to do with myself until then!! I guess I can make more glitter names.

And I totally just relived my Billy Hill glory days in my TR. :lmao: I am going to get a kick out of that for a long time to come!!

I have finished up my week of 12 hour days and finally have some time to do something else. I don't have time to read back so hope I didn't miss anything important. The photopass account is open and I have sent a PM to everyone who paid. If you think you paid and did not receive a message or still want to get in, let me know. I also haven't visited the Shutterfly account but will take a look and maybe add some photos soon.

Carol: I paid you for photopass at the meet and greet and haven't received a pm.

Deb: well, the cake pops I posted are still super cute!

Hello Ladies. I discovered the Divas in January. Your trips sound like so much fun I want to be a Diva.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Monica. Me and my daughter are passholders but she will most likely be moving to San Fransico in August to go to college. So I will be losing my Disney buddy. (My son who is 14 stopped getting passes last year and hasn't gone since) There are some family and friends who will go at times but me and my daughter are always up for a trip (we go at least once a month just for the day) Some don't understand why we like going so much. I am lucky and live only about 90 miles south of Disneyland so it is easy to just wake up and go for the day.

I am looking forward to getting to know all the Divas this year and meeting everyone on next years trip. I have started a Divas trip piggy bank.

Monica

:welcome: Monica!

Glad to hear you are thinking of joining us next year - you will have a great time!

My DH just made the BEST shredded beef tacos for dinner....*sigh* how did I get so lucky??? :confused3

Hi ladies!

First of all...has anyone else been wiped out this week? I fell asleep early almost every night this week. :faint:

I think I have caught up. I should have multi-quoted. Phooey! :headache:

Laurie. I am so sorry that you are missing some stones. :guilty: I washed mine to test it, before our trip and it was fine. But I did it on delicate, inside out. What size were stones that you lost? I have some extras of the biggest crystal stones size 16, and some of the next size down that look like they are kind of multi colored. They are called Crystal AB Borealis, size 12. The smallest stone is crystal, size 10. They are real, verses plastic and glass. The glue is called Gemtac.

I think what I will do is order some extras for you all, in case anyone else has problems too. That way, you can contact me, and I will send them to you. :thumbsup2 I don't want anyone to have missing stones!!! :guilty:

I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE ELSE THAT YOU WASH YOUR SHIRTS BY HAND.
I hope that by doing this, you won't lose any stones.

Next. The first year we went, we had brown tees with a pink pattern that Callie's DH made up. It looked akin to a Juicy Couture shirt. :cool1: I think we should look into another color myself since some of us already have that color scheme. Not only that, but brown does not stand out, like some of you have been suggesting you'd like to be.

Bridget, the shirt that you like in black is my absolute favorite. That one was my vote for last year, but I lost. :sad2: LOL! Anywhos, once again, it is a genuine Disneyland vintage logo from the sixties. The only change my son did was adding the Mickey heads to the turret and banner. I love it on black, but, we wouldn't stand out, if that is what you all want. It could be made into any color tee, and the graphic colors could be changed up too, to blend in. I love it, cuz it looks like something that would have been designed now, verses years ago. Just like the castle. Contemporary, kitchy, retro! In case you all can't tell, I love vintage retro stuff. LOL. :cloud9:

I personally like black, red, bright pink, rose pink, raspberry, periwinkle blue, turquoise blue, royal blue, dark peach or coral. Except the black, the rest of the colors would stand out, and look good on practically everyone. I think once we pick out the graphic design, then we can pick out the tee back ground. That could make a big difference.:thumbsup2

Does anyone else have a design they would like to have made up? All the designs shown, were just copies of logos I found. But my son Derrick could draw up something quite different.

I will share his idea from last year. I thought it would have been fun to have a tee centered around DCA for our hunt. That was before, they started to tear the park all apart, and we couldn't have the hunt exclusively there. :snooty:

He came up with the idea to draw Minnie like the Coppertone girl. :rotfl: You know.....the one with the Cocker Spaniel pulling down her bathing suit bottoms? Anywhos, something like that would be fun too. Totally different from the rest.

All input is great! :goodvibes
(But vote on the retro design. LOL.)

I just popped in to check and I wanted to say to Jess THANK you so much for my siggy I LOVE it. Off to mom's for dinner!! Have a good evening all!

Welcome Monica!! :cheer2:

Mel, You're not alone. I have been wanting to do nothing but sleep which is so strange for me on any day that's not a Sunday. Go figure.

I really wish I were creative in the 'design something on my own' type of way, but there's a reason why I have failed every art class I have ever taken. I have a hard time creating things like that. I would get a kick out of seeing a final design like the one your son thought of. That would be awesome.

Finally feeling like I'm making progress in the glitter name area. I'm on the backside of the page I wrote down everyone's requests on. Yay!

Thanks for the info on the Tshirt washing, Mel!
Where do you buy your gems? Also, the glittering, was it glue & glitter, or a glittery paint, or other? The purple castle shirt was my all time trip favorite. I just love it.
When you were talking about retro Disney ideas, one of my favorite Disneyland oldies, is the old Disneyland sign. Could he play around with that idea and have DisDivaLand or something catchy in the lettering? I'm a sucker for the old signage :)
I love the crown Tshirt and think it would look fabulous on a hot pink T, with glittery bling all over that crown. We are Diva royalty, of course!

Hello, Monica :wave2: Having a Diva trip piggy bank is a most excellent idea!

My DH just made the BEST shredded beef tacos for dinner....*sigh* how did I get so lucky??? :confused3

Ooooh, I want shredded beef tacos now too :rolleyes1

I think that Minnie idea is really cute, Mel :thumbsup2 I also like the retro one you're talking about. Really, all of them are too cute.

Finally feeling like I'm making progress in the glitter name area. I'm on the backside of the page I wrote down everyone's requests on. Yay!

Yay for glitter signatures :cheer2:

I really do appreciate the creativeness of some of the divas. You make us look good! I'm not very crafty at all, so I am in awe of what some of you can create :worship:

Hi Monica
welcome! We have quite a few San Diego Diva's :)

Your piggy bank comment reminded me....I have a group of girlfriends who I met 16 years ago when we all worked at the Disney Store. We are planning a WDW trip next January. On our last getogether we decorated large card envelopes and made a calender on the back. Every Monday we all put $20 bucks into it and check it off. When we hit $100 we cash them in for a hundred dollar bill (harder to spend). This will give us plenty of $$ for our trip and is alot of fun to see it build up.
