"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

We actually had a bunch of Tornadoes here in CA yesterday. They were actually up near where Jodi lives if you can believe that. About an hour from here.

Those had to be my husband's fault. Wednesdays he is up at Beale AFB. The "tornadoes" were about 30 miles from where he was.

We had a "funnel cloud" touch down a few years ago not far from our house, about 3 miles away near the grocery store. Picked some guy in his car up about 2 feet off the ground and tore up a bunch of fences and roof shingles and stuff. By the news reports, you'd think it was Armageddon. LOL. Then you look at Joplin, Mo.... Yeah. These are little toddler wind temper tantrums we have here.

I'm all caught up. Spending my day chipping away at "Laundry Mountain". Kinda like Space Mountain, but not fun. More like the line for Space Mountain. Never ending. LOL Went to Trader Joe's and did a little grocery shopping. Was going to finish grocery shopping at Safeway or Raley's but the cat yelled at me to open the sliding glass door and she is sleeping in the door track in the sun and I don't have the heart to move her. She has me trained WELL. Looking at a DL trip in October again now that the Halloween party dates are up and HoJo added some dates in October. I'm thinking either the 18th or the 25th. Going to look at airfare tonight. and see. We have a Southwest one way coupon that expires at the end of June that I can pay $50 to extend for another year, which is cheaper than airfare to DL. Just gotta see if DH will let me "have it". LOL

I don't think I believe anymore....

I have been too lazy to post much but am kind of skimming to keep up. Going on 3 weeks of having a nasty cough (it is really going around) and feeling bleh.

Starting to have Disneyland withdrawal and wondering how I am going to make it until February. I have been thinking that I need to make it back to WDW one of these days since I have been designated the Disney specialist for my travel agency that I work for on the side (duh ) I asked DH how interested he is in going back and he said sure he likes to go but not sure if it's worth it to spend the money. So I said well maybe I will plan a trip for us but will see if I can sneak in with one of my "Diva friends" who is already going so if someone wants a roommate for a trip they have planned let me know.

I miss you all and can't wait until the next trip!

No fun plans this weekend. Ruben works tomorrow and Monday, so no long weekend for him. The kids will be home but we'll just chill around the house I guess.

Just a little three months until our Disneyland trip for Labor Day weekend and 1/2 marathon.

SO much to do between now and then. Moving to new house. Need to get kids into school (darn CA schools have no more space in our neighborhood, so won't know what school they're going to until late August). Need jobs for DH and me. Diligently working to get things in order, as they must be. Also considering getting chickens in our new place. Nice thought distraction.

Jen it is so great to see you back on the boards!!

I follow you on FB of course but it will be great to have you back!! I am sure you will miss Switzerland in a way but it sounds like they are giving you a pain in the butt trying to get home! I am sure you are ready to get home too though! Sounds like you might make it home in time to go to the next ladies trip which is exciting! I sure hope mom and I make it cuz would love to see you again!!! I hope you can get everything straightened out so it is not to much of a nightmare getting home!!

Last night mom and I and one of her friends and her daughter in law all went to see Bridesmaids. We went out to eat first and I actually had a cocktail. Some of you may know I really don't drink except on special occasions so it was nice for a change. I had a special fruity margarita and it was yummy! Then we saw the movie and it was HILARIOUS! Pretty raunchy but funny!

I am off to work today but can't wait for the day to get over with so we can get the weekend started. Don't have anything going for tonight which is good because Shane is working in the bay area so probably won't be home till late but then we have to get up bright and early tomorrow and take our cat to the vet to get her annual shots and have some other errands to run tomorrow but Sunday and Monday will be fun so I am excited about those days!!

Happy Saturday, ladies!! The weekend has arrived.

Last night Ruben and I went out to dinner at House of Blues, and then to see the Go-Go's (long live the 80's!! LOL!) at Mandalay Bay beach.
It was a super fun night, made even better by nice weather, and the fact that the entire date only cost $20.14!
We had free tickets to the concert through House Seats and used a restaurant.com certificate for HOB that I had bought a while ago for a dollar.
Yep, I get as excited about my cheap date nights as some people do about their coupons. Seriously though, with one income it's either find a way to go cheap, or don't go at all. Anyway, it was a lot of fun.

Sounds fun! Was Hangover 2 as good, or even better than, the first? Isn't it just the exact same story? I did enjoy the first one though.

Noelle went to see Pirates last night. They got there kind of late, and there were no seats left in the entire theater except the ones in the very front row. So they went back to the box office to exchange their tickets for the next show which was the Imax 3D show. The guy there exchanged them for free, didn't charge them the difference in price. I thought that was nice since really it was their fault for showing up so late.

I hear Bridesmaids is really good. I can't wait to see it!

I want to see that one, too! I heard it was really funny.

Happy Saturday, ladies! I'm hoping I'll have a little more time to drop by now that my semester is over. Then again I'm working full time again for the first time in a long while. Waking up at 4a every morning is not my friend, especially since I can't seem to fall asleep any earlier than midnight-1a to save my life.
