Thinking about going to Puerto Rico. I’d like to stay at a resort and just stay there. Looking forward to lounging on the beach. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go? Hoping to get mid priced resort. Are there any all inclusive?

Thank you.

We stayed here one day/night before a cruise in November. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sjupr-san-juan-marriott-resort-and-stellaris-casino/overview/

It was really nice but we didn't go to the beach or eat at the many nearby restaurants. We relaxed by the pool and ate at the onsite restaurants.
We stayed on the first floor of the cabana building. These rooms have patios overlooking the pool and have a sliding door so it’s easy access to the pool area.

There was a pharmacy very close by with reasonable pricing.

I would stay there again.

We stay in the San Juan area often with the airline. It seems like a nice resort, but I don’t have much to compare it to on the island.
That said, it’s Caribe Hilton.

There may be nicer places, I don’t know… but it’s pretty nice overall.

ETA: I’m assuming you mean the San Juan area…
It’s about 15 minutes from the airport.

ETAA: I have no idea of the price, as it’s directly billed to the airline.

We stayed at the Condado Plaza before a cruise last spring. Very nice hotel, beautiful ocean views, a really nice pool area, and easy access to a beach within the breakwater. It was very close to Old San Juan (we used Uber, not sure it would be easily walked?), and super close to the cruise port. I feel like the airport was about a 20 minute Uber?

It wasn't terribly expensive (I feel like it was about $250/night) for 4 of us in an oceanfront room with a balcony. The room was quite large - plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens.

I'm not sure about food in the area - there was a Starbucks right there, but otherwise we ate in Old San Juan.

If beach is important, I would look at Isla Verde area - I have stayed at ESJ, Royal Sonesta and Courtyard. In particular, I thought the Royal Sonesta and Courtyard Isla Verde offered good value for money compared to some of the other hotels mentioned above.

In the Condado area - the Caribe Hilton is decent but overpriced and the beach experience is great for little kids but not so much otherwise. The Condado Plaza was our favorite many years ago, but never really recovered after Maria. Good pools - beach not so much. They have since converted half of it into a Hilton Garden Inn.

La Concha is nice, especially for a couples getaway but sits on a beach that often red flags going in the water. The Marriott Stellaris is also a good choice - though I found the rooms small and somewhat dated when I stayed there - it was a decade ago though.

We spent two weeks in a condo, so I can't help you with resorts. I will suggest Vieques for beaches. The island is beautiful and quiet and worth the boat ride over.
