... please excuse my typing skills, as normally SSB does not DIS before 8AM on a Sunday, but had to type while details lucid.
Moral of the story, don't mix GARLIC and too much DIS'ing. SSB had the clearest, most bizzarroesque DIS dream ever just this morning. Well, may have to take that back as I remember once I dreamed that the Pope was a DISer, at a DIS meet (for real)
The setting of the dream was on the planet "Tatoone" (sp?), the desert like area, that you saw during the "Pod" races in Episode I. Some of the events and characters are SO clear still.
Somehow, the premise was that all of us DIS'ers were on some long march or trek, which later became a competition on the surface of the planet. SSB can remember hearing overhead the WHAP WHAP WHAP sound of the pods, as they would fly by overhead.
During the day of the great race, SSB recalls seeing MANY DIS'ers along the way (Barb, Olga, Bernie, Nancy, Gemmie, Snowwark, TigH, CatsR, Tulirose for a few)... and what is odd is that it was DIS'ers that I have both met, as above, as well as many that I have not, (such as JeffBD, CSat, Scarlette, BEyes, John), but that I know User names of. SSB in general is a fast walker, so in the dream would chat for a bit, then keep going on.
As the dream/day went on, it started becoming more of a walking "race". Somehow we all found out from WillJ that Dan Murphy was in the lead, and that closely tied for second and third were Shep and Routeman Dan (who had a handlebar moustache!).
Towncrier became my "Mentor" along the way, starting to plot strategy with me for somehow winning the race. (He is coniving, you know). And, just recalled Ejigs being part of one conversation. At one point CathyCanada came by on one of the pods, but for the life of me SSB can't recall exactly what she said, but had something to do with RMD's plot. Sonja, Patrick, and Glo were close by so might have been a MOD thing... haha!
So the FUNNIEST part, was that near the end of the day (the race would continue on the next morning).... Dan starts RUNNING, like Forest Gump did when being chased with the braces on his legs, and it is just like the movie... the braces fall off and he starts MOTORING along, leaving Shep and Routeman Dan way behind, as they are perplexed by the whole thing. I am still laughing remembering that part of the dream.
The last part that I recall is SSB, Towncrier and Ejigs having talked at dawn, and SSB taking OFF full speed, with every intention of catching Dan this morning... so look out Dan, SSB is coming.
PS: What the heck is all of that about??? I think losely based on my "meet more DIS'ers than anyone else" competiton with Dan Murphy, combined with too much garlic at dinner.
