Just wondering what the approximate times are from WH to all 4 theme parks. I'm trying to figure out what time we need to be "out the door" in order to pick up our rental stroller and be there fro rope drop.

We leave in 3 days!

Thanks!

Windsor Hills really is close to Disney - less than 2 miles to the main gate, but remember that Disney World covers 50 sqare miles! For example, our best time ever from Germany in World Showcase to Windsor Hills is 20 minutes.

It takes only about 5 min. to AK from WH using Sherberth Rd. It would take about 10- 12 min to MGM or Epcot and around 12 -15 min to the parking lot at MK and another 10 min or so to the entrance depending on how long you have to wait for shuttles and monorails. That's on a regular day when you're not trying to get there for anything special.
A couple of people answered a post last week that they had made the run from WH to Mk may times to get there for rope drop and they allowed 45 min. Since MK would be the furtherest away you should be safe using that time or less for the other parks.

I am here at WH right now. We honestly made it to/from MGM and AK in under 10 minutes(probably 6 minutes from AK via Sherberth Rd as we just caught the traffic light at 192) from the parking lots. It depends upon the traffic lights more than anything else. I'm not an owner and don't have any promotional interest, but I can pretty much guaranty you can be out of any of the theme parks and in your own driveway long before most anyone taking WDW transport is walking back to an on-site room from a hotel transport stop. We have a AAA diamond parking pass and it also greatly helps speed up the portal to portal commute.

BTW, AAA diamond parking is extrememly convenient at both MGM and AK (and Epcot I'm told - I'll let you all know), you avoid waiting for a tram, and don't really walking any farther to your car. The AAA diamond parking lots are basically right with, or mixed in with the handicap lots. To get one you must book your trip or just buy your WDW admission tiks thru AAA and request one - it's free and well worth it.

We stayed at Windsor Hills this past April. When we went to MK we left our house around 8am and got there in plenty of time for rope drop. When going to Epcot we also left around 8am and were pretty much at the front of the turnstiles and also right up at the ropes at drop time. I pretty much stuck to the leaving at 8am theory for the whole trip except one day we got a little delayed and never left the house until around 815 or so. This was our day at AK and even though we were kind of far away from the ropes at opening it really didnt impact our day in any way.
