Becca,Our guests walked from 28 (which is really right across from the lake...however, there is no bridge) to the hh, and it took them 10-15 minutes.
All due respect....not trying to sound like I'm doubting you, but this I find very hard to believe ? I stayed at the further bldg 45 last summer and it took all of 4-5 min. It didn't even take us 10-15 min from bldg 55---which is even further ???
Any other OKW people want to back me up on this ? I can accept that the BCV and OKW maps are not to scale....I admitted that a few posts back already. But 10-15 min from bldg 28 ? Sorry...I just cannot see this even remotely. Sorry Becca....nothing against you personally on this. May I ask, were your guests senior citizens maybe or had a handicapped because this is the only way I could see 10 (and especially 15 min !) from bldg 28 ?Exactly, factoring in stairs from our 4th floor room at BWV (we had my mil with us though)......I don't see how one can say anything about the walk to the main pool at OKW from any bldg ? Walking up 4 flights of stairs----yet this is a big criticism of OKW with no elevators ? It's ok at BWV to climb 4 flights though? I beg to differ with you both (respectfully of course). I've had MANY stays at OKW over the years and have stayed in many different bldgs and my walk to HH and main pool was never longer than maybe 8 min.maybe if you always use the elevators you might need 5 minutes to get to the pools but there are many different staircases that lead down to the pools so we were never more than a minute from the pool-maybe two minutes...and given the general comments about walking I would think that taking the stairs would not be a problem.
It's amazing how different people's perceptions can be---and I say that speaking from both sides of this debate.
, and they were carrying "groceries" home. I didn't walk it (honestly, it looked too far to walk around the lake to me), but maybe all the wine they were carrying home made the walk seem longer.

a mile to the pool or is it a comfortable walk. Why is the argument, well if you can walk around the park all day why can't you walk 10-15 minutes to a pool. It's like paying for oceanfront property in advance and then not minding that you are actually staying 2-3 blocks inland. Get it??
THat is an awesome tool. Now where is everything? I've found Epcot and Disney, SSR, OKW, and the POLY. I think I found VWL but which one is the hotel and which are the villas? Also, where is the Beach club??
